Cards of Heaven

A sports-fan 'diary' of baseball-treasures indicating a sincere investment in the West for capitalism-IRA.

A sports-treasure diary inspired loosely by Mr. Destiny (Michael Caine). Enjoy,

I'd been collecting baseball treasures since I was a kid, and I've become an adult fan of Royals souvenirs, Cubs and White-Sox stuff, and Phillies hats.

At a special fashion-design center (cyber) in the West, we're looking at special baseball-cards that don't necessarily have market ascending dollar-value but extremely high fan-based sports design-value. These cards aren't Babe Ruth cards and not even modern Barry Bonds cards of exorbitant 'marked' value, but rather they're modern cards of fan-based design-value, such as a Ken Griffey Fleer card, a John Olerud Upper-Deck card, and a Kerry Wood Topps card. At this design-center in the West, we're correlating consumerism/sports-media with capitalism-IQ for Earth-design.

CONSUMER REPORT(S): The traffic of bloggers/celebs on modern Internet-searches reveals a real 'flavor' of fanzine-dollars.

So, I'm taking one special card, Topps-company, to the Smithsonian's new exhibit of 'modern' archaeological treasures, which may include/reflect special 'capitalism-IQ' trophies like the 1995 Honda Accord engine/chasse, and the 1998 Apple iMac, and I believe this card I'm taking to this new exhibit will be considered by future archaeologists as a 'diadem' of Earth-design.

GIRLFRIEND: This is your 'best' baseball-card, sweetheart, and it just might make the 'annals-of-record(s)' for archaeologists.

A Smithsonian-investing Eastern executive (corporate) for Weyland Company wants my Ryne Sandberg card (Topps) second-year because it will re-present a capitalism-ideation of great human civilization magic. She's offering me $2M for it, since it's one of those rare mint-condition cards you just might not find on eBay these days, and everyone wants this one ahead of the Smithsonian exhibition in the summer of 2022.

GIRLFRIEND: It's 'shocking' to me, sweetheart, you've no intent to include the Barry Sanders Lions rookie-card (Topps) for IQ.

Capitalism is like a 'chess' game (it seems to me!) these days, and stalemates/draws are erected in the form of commerce-fortification rhetoric such as the Home Shopping Network which anti-capitalism fundamentalists simply/clearly despise these days. However, this Ryne Sandberg Topps inclusion in the Smithsonian will remind all why even consumerism can feel like a 'rose-field' for globalism anti-terrorism democracy!

"Bitcoin, in the short or even long term, may turn out be a good investment in the same way that anything that is rare can be considered valuable. Like baseball cards. Or a Picasso" (Andrew Ross Sorkin).
