In a small American town dwelt the nice folks of everyday life and carried on in their mostly Catholic ways and despite 'normal' human-world sins/vices and crimes and even murders cast their way-of-life as basically desirable and sane. However, this was about to radically change because of a very strange alien invasion from Mars, requiring a host of 'faerie-humanoids' who'd have to intercede on behalf of the townsfolk in defense of a potential invasion-aversion scenario.

FAERIES: We 'sensed' the dark and foreboding Martians approaching/descending on the small-town; we chose guidance-IQ.

The faeries disguised themselves as handsome/beautiful/smart town-youth and integrated into the FaceTime-happy culture of the American area and befriended the folks who'd basically appreciated the modern access to media-tech amenities like Netgrocer which made life in the modern world really profitable.

The Martians meanwhile would cross through the Stargate dimensions-portal and invade the small-town using their invisibility-cloaking powers of 'dark magic' and roam around the very-same American small-town as the guidance-IQ faeries and seek to distort and subjugate the minds of this symbolic American continental area as the Inception-Phase of their worldwide invasion/conversion and considered the Stargate their 'door' to Empire.

ALIEN: We shall instill the basic notions of controlled society and become tied to the small-town humans' sense of isolation!

ALIEN: Since we are male/female in morphology, like our human subjects/counterparts, we'll lay monarchy/society plans!

FAERIES: We challenge you dark invader-Martians to a game of solid chess-play here in this American small-town, yes.

ALIENS: Why'd we want to play you in chess, after all, faerie-humanoids of Earth-IQ?

FAERIES: For if we'd achieve a stalemate/draw condition against you, you'd resign to the deep Earth ocean-abyss as exiles!
ALIENS: Agreed and accepted challenge (ha).

When the triumphant faeries disguised as humanoids in the tribulation-smalltown (America) effectively drew a rook-bishop double-line piece position movement strategized stalemate/draw condition against the invasive/offensive Martian-aliens of eerie visage and menacing vision, they'd no choice but to concede to a deep-Earth ocean-abyss exile (forever!). Afterwards, the faerie-humanoids hosted a museum opening in the small-town in which they celebrated/cheered the spirit-lift(s) of great/classical American baseball (sports) paintings/portraits capturing all the charms of the 'field of dreamers' who'd make their way-of-like seem like a normal socialized drawing for distance!

FAERIES: What we've achieved is no small miracle and shall enchant the townsfolk with Halloween campfire-tales of invasion!

With the aliens forever-gone and the town saved from a 'vision' of haunting Hellmouth(s), the heroics-driven faeries decided to remain in the small-town (America) and serve as guidance-IQ messengers of what makes life on Earth simply divine and desirable --- the sovereign ability to entreat forms of special/magical detention.
