A portrait of modern 'intuition' in challenged NY featuring chess, youth, net-ideations, street-spirits, and post-9/11 era human dimension.

"
A chess fable inspired loosely by Shine (Geoffrey Rush). Thanks for reading!

Manhattan became the site of a great chess-drama when a migrant prodigy named Amlan Satan began teaching a much more liberal form of chess-play and playing the style himself against many an ambitious opponent regarding piece-movement rotation flexibility to counter any form of uniformed offense-defense line fury. Manhattan suddenly became a place of neat chess-talk online and homeschooling and gatherings for kids (and adults!).

AMLAN SATAN: You've got to think of chess-play as mind-roaming, and it reminds you of freedom-choice and non-robot joy.

Fortunately, the homeschooling venture inspired as a satellite of this chess-trend in Manhattan prompted new forms of youth-expression(s) and ideations of great inventive craftsmanship and play, and kids crowned cloth finger-puppets to signify the wonders of chess-piece motion intrigue and why it promoted team-play and stories about individuality!

However, Amlan Satan suddenly felt the 'stiff' challenge from a newcomer in Manhattan with a strange chess-IQ affording her the gift of moving multiple lines of offense like a machine almost and she always preferred playing the black-side or opening second. This buzz-cut hairstyle woman of classical-music fanfare and soldier-like appearance, Danica, insisted that Satan's form of freeplay chess simply catered to the frills of the piece-motion variations and insisted Manhattanites might indulge in a more 'stylish' orientation of uniformed piece-array synchrony. Suddenly, Amlan Satan wasn't the only 'prodigy' being cheered on cyber-forums regarding 'Facebook-chess' designs! This was 'excellent' post-9/11 era New York lightness.

AMLAN SATAN: I've challenged the likes of many-a chess upstart with suited faces of relentless focus; chess had become silver.

DANICA: I just wanna get paid (somehow) more than you might think a 'roaming' chess maniac would; it's all for charity, no?

SHELBYE: You play with a certain 'flair' for the respect of the imagination of your opponent, Mr. Satan.
AMLAN: Why, thanks.
SHELBYE: What'd you make of my experimental style of piece-position/movement option patience/substitutions?
AMLAN: That's a terrific way to make the game feel more...democratic.
SHELBYE: Exactly...I wonder if Danica frightens you, Mr. Satan.
AMLAN: Maybe; but you charm me, man!

CHESS (Cyber-Fanzine): Amlan Satan is like a 'Pinocchio' of Manhattan-chess and likes Halloween; we wonder if he's an alien!

AMLAN SATAN: Hey, Manhattan --- I'm not an 'alien' just because I love wild faerie-tales about inventive chess-warfare IQ (ha).

ESQUIRE: How did Amlan defeat you, Danica?
DANICA: We'd drawn 3 stalemates during 4 public tourney media-engagements in Manhattan before he triumphed over me!
ESQUIRE: What's your next move?
DANICA: Hollywood.

AMERICAN PRESIDENT: Satan's promised White-House chat(s) about stalemate-applications for war-tribulation comics.
