Tampa Scruffy: Dreamcatcher

Tampa Scruffy: Dreamcatcher

A Story by Abishai100
"

Narrated dramedy of Florida-lore and redeemed innocence with a touch of romantic distance(s).

"
A pirate story of eerie proportion but with a surprisingly strangely happy ending (inspired by There's Something About Mary). Enjoy,

Tampa Bay (Florida) is where I've been conducting special-opportunities research regarding the flowery of sports-marketing as reflected in the colors/pageantry of media-photography boasting the beauty-magic of the local city football team cheerleaders.

My name's Amlan Satan, and I'm a descendant of real old-world pirates, and I myself dress up like a pirate every Halloween and attend a special Tampa football game costumed as a pirate (scruffy).

The game I attended this last Halloween as a costumed pirate reminded me why the iconography and trade of sports-markets and culture of competition gives rise to special forms of city-based Earth spirits.

During the game, our local team triumphed over a rival visiting team that reminded me why the general flair and design of competition in stadiums in the United States highlight why you simply want to attend the games in the arenas in person rather than just watching on TV/YouTube!

That's the moment I met my future wife, the lovely and amazing pirate-cheerleader of my beloved Florida home and decided that we'd make an awesome couple for the casting of magic and flowery regarding pirate-lore/fantasy, since as I mentioned, I'm a descendant of real pirates (ha).

I asked the girl out and took her for delicious pizza and then told her one year later I wanted to marry her, but in the course of that year, as we developed our friendship, I learned she called the cops, telling them she thought someone was stalking her, and when the cops did a background search on me, discovering my pirate-lineage, they thought I was the culprit. I was 'officially' investigated/tracked by the Florida policewoman Sandy!

SANDY: Do you know how your 'lady' ended up in the hospital, scruffy?
ME: You think I was linked to this crime, Officer?
SANDY: You're coming to the hospital with me, pirate-man.
ME: Very cool.

I talked with Sandy and my girl at the Tampa hospital and assured her in front of the Officer that I wasn't the man responsible for her parking-lot attack, and that my pirate-lineage in fact paradoxically 'proved' my innocence and intention not to 'act' like a villainous pirate. Sandy believed me in the end.

After we got married, I got my girl a pirate-girl doll (Sandy) and assured her no pirate I knew of from my past was behind this horrid crime that she endured, a strangling-attempt which proved she wasn't paranoid and that someone really was stalking her but that it wasn't me out to prove my 'pirate' mind with some deranged act of betrayal which Sandy earlier hypothesized. Anyways, my wife was very happy with her Sandy-pirate (doll!).

We had a daughter one year later and named her Sandy. Life's been good, and everything seems cool between us now, and our daughter grew to be a very lovely young girl who loves to dress up as a pirate-gal for Halloweentime. Our life in Tampa is so complete now.
