The city of Boston (New England) was troubled by the Night-Slasher, and its park, though light during the holiday-season, required the vigilante-duo of the Green Hornet and Kato to intercede and find ways to destroy the supervillain's aura and mystique for the sake of all good Catholics of Earth.

NIGHT-SLASHER: If they come for me, I'll use my hand-blade, sharp with ornamental spikes, to decapitate with valor.

Meanwhile, Hornet/Kato were driving around in their tinted Accord to seek-out evidence of the Night-Slasher moving around Boston by daytime and seeking proof that he actually existed and wasn't simply an 'amalgam' of criminals/killers working together in the city in tandem but unconsciously and simply/unwittingly casting a 'silhouette' profile of what had or who had become a media dark-star. The Hornet-Kato car Accord (green in color) was a fanciful vehicular symbol of moving dynamic justice-lore.

BOSTON MAYOR: We'd like to think the ideation(s) of special and magic crime-fighting vigilantism may draw magazine-chess.

Hornet was an unknown to the people of Boston. No one knew who he really was, and he always wore a strange mask and sunglasses and sometimes simply a hat and sunglasses and liked to carry an acid-gun, a toy water-rifle inserted with a glass-tube in the shooting-piston to fill with hot-acid, to shoot at the tires of a moving criminal's vehicle-tire(s).

HORNET: I'll catch this Night-Slasher to make Boston a safer place or 'haven' for working-girls and young men in park-shade!

The awesome/fantastic toy water-rifle of the Green Hornet was therefore a terrific 'Poseidon-trident' reflective of the dangers/valor of vigilantism required in modern Boston, which had been plagued by woes like the Marathon bombing and the serial Strangler.

KATO: What I hope to offer my darling captain (Hornet) is a raincoat sense of magazine-savvy sidekick consultancy for crime.

ESQUIRE: You encountered this Night-Slasher in the Boston park at night with your 'acid-rifle' and Kato with you in raincoat?
HORNET: Precision; the Slasher was wandering around looking for a jogging victim or something not normal that dark night!

ESQUIRE: You shot your acid-rifle at his feet and declared your 'chemical' weapon to disorient his evil courage, eh?
HORNET: We made homemade acid and simply made a stand for the re-presentation of 'aliens' in New England (acid-chess).

SLASHER: Now, in prison, I've time to think in my cell about the therapy-art they've offered me to think wisely about insects.

Green Hornet and Kato were becoming celebrities in the vigilante universe, because of their Slasher-Boston (New England) deed, and they'd even been rumored to have become romantically paired, and some 'warriors' of the underworld storyboards suggested (subtly) that they might retire soon to get married and simply unwind to enjoy some terrific Sox-Athletics (sports!) diamonds (or dollar$!).
