Stana moved through the troubled old Earth with her incredible sword Excalibur, determined to help the fraught villagers/settlements challenged and confounded by the evil Queen Ismel. Now, Stana had always been alone and fought alone as a female mercenary on old Earth but was about to ally herself to a wandering swordsman named Alas.

STANA: The evil queen will make a desolation of this 'troubled' Earth, and my faith in Christ offers valor for my gem-quest!

The Queen Ismel had plotted to rid the Earth of all challenging defiance units and wandering and/or displaced knights who'd sought to topple her 'dark' kingdom which was nonetheless secured by the demonic legion led by her muscular General Cabbage.

Only the wizard George would be able to offer the fiery mercenary-woman Stana the right counsel to find the right male ally to tackle and depose Ismel's dark castle, and he suggested that she travel to the faraway elfin-lands of Zelda in search of the mercenary-swordsman Alas.

GEORGE: Find Alas; tell him of the gem you seek to steal from Ismel's castle; he'll assist in the unification of armies on Earth.

ALAS: Why the hell should I take this 'dare' quest to topple that horrid queen's castle just for the 'chance' to get that gem?
STANA: Come on, Alas; you've never done anything of spiritual value (for Christ); but this will cast you as an 'actual' hero!
ALAS: Alright; for the legend; storytellers (ha).

ISMEL: You dare to challenge me in a stalemate-condition chess-match, Stana girl?
STANA: I'm using a rook-bishop double-line array to counter any queen-knight offensive maneuver you'd use to thwart space!
ISMEL: Damn.

While Stana distracted the evil queen with this damning chess-stalemate foreplay, the sneaky Alas, her new swordsman-ally, used his united army to invade the castle and steal Ismel's magical emerald-jewel-set, which Stana/Alas could use to declare the eventual 'downfall' of the darkness of the undeniably muscular legion of General Cabbage and Ismel.

STANA: Thank you.
ALAS: You've fallen for me, Stana; maybe they'll cast artworks of this old Earth battle (in our name alone - ha).
STANA: You're right!

My name's Alas, and I'm said to be a descendant of that old mercenary-swordsman Alas who was allied to Stana on that incredible quest to topple the Queen Ismel which eventually happened on old Earth. Today, I teach English-Irish lore at Seton Hall (New Jersey), where I've gained a newfound appreciation of the 'alienation' of storytelling regarding darkness/danger and why human beings have come to 'embrace' the distances of pure democracy!

There's something 'timeless' about human-IQ regarding the 'chessplay' of Earth's great defenses and dangers, and I consider myself a modern fan of both social-media and Facebook-oriented distances!

“The Study of philosophy is not that we may know what men have thought, but what the truth of things is” (St. Thomas Aquinas).
