Narrated (fictional) account of a Pulitzer-winning writer's 'strange' encounter with a Martian in the Alps drawing dark 'holograms' about life's discontinuity.

A cannibalism-misadventure vignette of metaphysical/extra-terrestrial dimension(s). Enjoy,

I was traveling in the Swiss-Alps one winter, camping and writing for a psychology journal about the quality of modern inter-religious coexistence. My name's Amlan Satan and I'd been studying the nature of cannibalism, in theory/practice, as presented/re-presented in various mythologies, lore, folk-tales, and even crime-stories in Earth civilization(s). I was happily carrying-on in this imaginarium-exercise in the Alps, distanced from my Swiss town where I worked as a sciences-officer for Dartmouth, when I encountered an alien 'dragon' (Martian) who started to challenge my world-sensibilities about traffic-IQ, lifestyle activity, and even Facebook-chess.

The alien/Martian 'dragon' being told me his name, Endymion, and explained he'd been camping/trekking the Swiss Alps mountain(s) with an invisibility-power and wanted to approach me, a 'prototypical' human-Earth 'prince-scholar' of living imagination, of the sense of being 'alive' on Earth. Endymion commented he found my name 'Amlan Satan' quite funny --- since the surname denoted the Christian 'adversary' but was assured by me it was simply a multicultural-descendancy 'mutated' surname (French/Algerian/American). Endymion whispered to me, "Distant from your Swiss mountain-town affords you the special-IQ of determining the quality of being 'alive' on Earth and why I'd want to discourse with a 'special' human prince to determine my own course of Earth-residency (secret!) as a self-exiled isolationist-philosopher, Mr. Satan!"

Endymion pulled out a series of charcoal-diagrams depicting the shape/quality of his Martian-species 'dissection-sciences' usually involving hypothetical drawings of dissected/experimented human specimens or 'actual' renditions of captured/invader alien intelligence beings 'exploring' Mars (his underground world!) and seeking plunder and ending up as 'cannibalism' subjects or dissection-value cadavers for Martians! I confess a strange wonder about this sort of 'evil' or darkness but it was completely 'alien' to me, despite the fact Endymion was right-on about my personal 'scholarly' fascination with the 'nature' of being 'alive' on Earth. I admit I was taken by these Martian-science(s) diagrams of 'conceptual' body-physique dissection/transformation(s) in those snowy Swiss-Alps that eventful (secret!) winter camping times which would inspire my Pulitzer-novel about 'wrought' conceptualized 'daydreams' of conceived 'alien' life.

When I returned to civilization, I reunited with my beautiful lover, Esmerelda, and soon we married and two years later had a darling-son (Damian) who grew to become a young-boy fan of Batman (DC Comics) media. He told me "Batman reminds me why being 'alive' on Earth is like magic!" I knew Damian was a lot like me, and Esmerelda and I were very happy. However, I didn't rest in my consciousness until I came to terms with Endymion's special diagrams of Martian science(s)-oddities and how it'd affect my 'human' sense(s) of Earthly beauty...and mystery.

ESMERELDA: This is the most beautiful Catholic church we've visited in Europe yet, darling.

ME: Agree; in fact, the stained-glass int his cathedral really reminds you why being 'alive' is magic!

DAMIAN: Wow, I wonder what Batman would think of all this 'magic' and adventure in those people in the glass.

I never crossed-paths with that strange Martian (Endymion) again, and he never appeared in any 'sighting' lore or news-flash on Euro-TV, and I gladly accepted my Pulitzer for my 'wrought' fantasy about conceived philosophical depth(s) in those snowy Swiss mountains, where I engaged my own scientific mind about the 'nature' of darkness and ever-present vertigo of intelligence!
