I'd have never thought such a mysteriously strange crime would take-place in our idyllic South Bend Catholic campus of Notre Dame, where sportsmanship and school-spirit are a reflection of media-age excellence.

However, it did, and the prime suspect was a respected young English-Irish linguistics professor named Amlan Satan who was said to have been dating the daughter of a major Notre Dame football-team personnel on the coaching-staff who, alongside Satan, posted fan-comments about the Irish-football games on social-media (e.g., Facebook).

Dr. Satan was supposedly dating a very lovely daughter of the Irish team's coaching staff (Sandy) who loved showcasing various Notre Dame mementos/t-shirts on social-media (e.g., Facebook).

Dr. Satan was also the head of the Notre Dame Chess-Club which saw great rise(s) in popularity because of social-media (i.e., Facebook-chess) and invited many youngsters/students and even faculty to compete/learn with chess-play. He taught them the value of stalemate-condition(s) chess-play and what it symbolized for political-IQ in the modern world-landscape since the Cold War (the 'Fischer-Spassky era' of televised-chessplay!).

Of course, chess isn't as 'big' in South Bend as the NBC-televised Saturday football-games, when the Irish tackle rival schools/teams including USC, Michigan State, Colorado, and Michigan. These games are symbols of TV-sports age excellence/spirits, and Dr. Satan began dating the daughter of one of the personnel of the 'fantastic' Irish-team's coaching-staff (Sandy).

The crime was bizarre and involved the disappearance and later discovery of Sandy's dead body. The police at Notre Dame claimed the clues left at the crime indicated some rogue UVF-criminal who left sectarian Belfast, Northern Ireland (UK) to create American terrorism, to terrorize the proudly Catholic school's media-flowery surrounding college-football. The rumors flew that Dr. Satan was somehow linked to a Sinn Fein sympathizer group known as the 'Foreign Irish Republican Army' (FIRA) and would be tied to some UVF 'fury' indicating some sympathizer-target(s), but others speculated Satan himself had 'betrayed' his own party!

Perhaps because of the murder victim's social-media commentary surrounding the Gaelic-derived festival of Halloween and its student-based spirits-celebrations in South Bend, the tragedy came home. Perhaps this UVF-criminal from Belfast costumed as a campus comic-book villain decided to make some kind of 'social-media' statement about Catholic-Protestant 'troubles' in the modern United Kingdom. The last thing we wanted to think was that Dr. Satan himself was tied to the woe(s).

Dr. Satan retired from his position and left for Europe, and rumors still fly regarding his possible ties to the campus tragedy of modern time(s). He left-behind to his beloved Notre Dame chess-club a very funny movie-themed chess-set, which he claimed was a symbol of his lifelong admiration for pluralism school-spirit(s), in South Bend (United States)!
