DC had become a great folk-haven for both residency and philosophical entertainment/arts, and I'd been living there in a rather nice apartment, feeling the uplift and consumerism amenity of Western/American living, alongside my schoolteacher wife (Ezzy), and we'd anticipated a very normal year in the United States.

My name's Amlan Satan, and I'm an Ivy-grad and Hindu-Brahmin (high 'sect' of Indian religious order favoring libertine forms of hierarchical mythologies for systematic prayers of reincarnation/transcendentalism/teachings) by birth but opted to convert to Occidental-Catholicism after meeting my Ivy-wife (Ezzy) and ever-since then been busy using my princely-inherited fortunes to make net-blogs from home about modern social-media access to post-9/11 era democracy-dialogue and cyber-fanzines.

My wife Ezzy and I both studied English-Irish linguistics at Dartmouth (New England) and consider this DC-life one of great comics-like flair and happiness. We like culinary-arts and folk-tales about aliens and human civilization and mountain-monsters and city-gators. In fact, we'd certainly enjoyed all the modern amenities of happy life and didn't anticipate the 'serious' ordeal (now subtly addressed on social-media chats) we endured, and I get relief now from it with Facebook-chess peace and sci-fi comics-networks.

The 'ordeal' (DC) I refer to is known as the Purge. It's an bi-annual sanctioned night of hellraising and bloody-crimes in various civilization cities on Earth run by runners-chasers who create an emotion-IQ catharsis from the capitalism-bureaucracy claustrophobia created by consumerism-frills and the stocks of the institutions of post-9/11 era governance securities frailties. It's a professed expression of antisocial violence-release to control the instincts of terrorism through the remainder of the Roman-calendar year, and it was choreographed by countless American 'fight-clubs' all over the Western hemisphere, and during this ordeal of the Purge, we American 'aristocats' like Ezzy/I feared we'd lose our DC-amenities like our Upper-Deck sports-capital diamonds (ha).

The First-Purge resulted in forest-fires, some market explosions in unopened stores/shops, parking-lot mayhem, random bizarre attacks on armed policemen, and brutal decapitations of wealthy industrialists in North America. Ezzy remarked that this was the manifest vision of Orwellian lore built-up and finally unleased as a failure of social consciousness or education! I wondered what would the fate be of the wealthy/intelligentsia like Dartmouth-socialites like Ezzy/me. It was news for the modern evangelist(s).

MEDUSA: As the 'unofficial' female avatar-spokesperson for the First-Purge, I praise the piracy of males/females on Earth.

Well, as a cyber-fanzine writer and fan of sci-fi comics, I'd no choice but to collect a reflective/symbolic Purge-themed issue of an iconic media-franchise after the First-Purge concluded and Ezzy/I made it out alive/wealthy. I posed ideations and imagery regarding the flowery of lore regarding endurance of turbulent species-intrigue and why I'd been re-energized for Facebook-chess for post-9/11 era ideas about 'serious' democratic fantasy that was maintenance-friendly and therefore timeless (ha)!

EZZY: We Brahim-Catholics of the West will endure each/every Purge with the 'ale(s)' of serious civilization dollar(s) (ha).
