On a certain New England campus on a snowy winter season, Amlan Satan was working diligently as a teacher of an inventive new advance-level computer-program course on chess-algorithm designs for mimicry of A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) decision-making review.

DR. SATAN: There's a certain peace/isolation in these snowy New England hills of this isolated campus flowering mind-study!

Now, the campus library was busy that winter season with trafficked students busy sitting inside and preparing for exams and thesis-papers before the spring-term approached, creating research view on the quality of their personal study ideations so the senior-year students would be able to graduate on-time following the completion of their thesis-paper.

DR. SATAN: I've invited a handful of these winter-senior students on campus this season to compete on cyber-chess games!

He purchased a special 'cinema'-themed chess-set for his own campus apartment that season while courting a special cyber-chess 'club' which would feature senior-year students engaged in special/fun game-arrays for the public in an attempt to celebrate what made chess-game array decision-making models reflective of modern intrigue surrounding robotics/A.I. intelligence-reads!

Two weeks later, following the inception/appeal comments of the campus cyber-chess club, Dr. Amlan Satan was found bloody murdered in his campus-apartment, shot in the chest twice with an apparent Beretta handgun, and the crime-scene included a left-note by the killer(s) reading, "Chess is for the nerdist(s); and we're here only to create pure anarchy and liberty and rock-music; let this gesture signify this intent for student insanity!" No one knew if the killer(s) can use such a 'gesture' for incitation of campus-wide panic or if they themselves were not students but outsiders seeking to destroy the campus-senses of peace/study. Ironically, a new murder-film set in North America was going to be screened by the faculty to honor the tragedy, as part of the college's film-society activity for transcendence!

A female detective assigned to this landmark campus-crime case, Shelbye O'Hara, began noting the history/bio of Dr. Amlan Satan and reported the strange 'secret' intrigue surrounding the brilliant professor's own private background of living in the snowy natural landscapes of the Sierras as an abandoned young boy and apparently raised alongside animals including wolves! Perhaps all this natural-view gave Amlan a sense of intelligence-fascination which fostered his later college-education life study of chess/computers which, ironically/incidentally, also led to his being targeted as a crime-victim on the campus by the psycho-killer(s) who wanted to create a 'message' about natural instinct(s). Detective O'Hara had to reason now that the criminals behind this murder were not students but faculty/professors who wished to destroy Amlan Satan's 'chess-club natural intelligence' mission by 'smudging' his campus-study 'mission' to use chess for natural-life diagrams.
