Amlan Satan boasted a special American sports-treasure, the iconic World Series winning team-set of the Cincinnati Reds (Upper-Deck), a 1990-year offering in the media-market of consumer-sports entertainment and merchandising and athletic-flowery. However, this wasn't just a regular set of cards. Firstly, the Reds had climbed out of the Pete Rose time of scandal and turbulence to upset the dominating Athletics in the 1990 Series. Secondly, the Upper-Deck set of the 1990 Reds-team was appropriately/extra special in its design and handsome re-presentation of the uniformed excellence of the team itself. Thirdly, the 1990 (Upper-Deck) team-set of the iconic Reds is arguably remembered as the ultimate 'trophy' of what makes American baseball so colored --- it's sense(s) of capitalism-desensitization. 

DIARY: This is the best trophy a sports/baseball fan would boast (IMO); in fact, I've shared it with others on social-media (for capitalism flowery chat(s) concerning the 'excellence' of modern sports-media/merchandising/collectible(s) direction!).

DIARY: In fact, my wife (Ezzy) and my daughter (Isha) may not be baseball-fans but they do love video-games (Xbox) and appreciate the 'color(s)' and flowery of competition-imagination in modern games/theories and why cards for baseball may highlight why the modern-family had become special 'diplomats' of what makes magazine-culture so 'incompletely' dreamy.

For these reasons, Amlan Satan had become a sort of 'metaphysics-diplomat' of the 1990 (Upper-Deck) Reds cards team-set, and he'd wondered why/how such ideation(s) would cast him as a Catholic 'species'-messenger of the lovely qualities of capitalism-marketing/treasure(s) in the post-9/11 era, and he purchased a movie-themed chess-set for these reasons, to expound on this self-aware appreciation and perhaps teach Isha how to play the strategy board-game involving 'stalemate-diplomacy' innocence/excellence, which is why a Martian eventually contacted him (on Facebook-chess!).

Perhaps because Amlan Satan had become a sort of 'needful-things' princely messenger of what made capitalism endurance so 'finely' human and extra-ordinary; and perhaps because his special 'treasure' --- the iconic 1990 (Upper-Deck) Reds cards team-set --- cast him as a commerce/consumerism diplomat; the stranger-alien (Martian) wanted to 'test' his sense of competition-thinking by daring him draw a stalemate-chess match against him in this post-9/11 era on Earth signified by great lines of civilization-diaries!

DIARY: I dunno if that Facebook-chess competitor (quite skilled!) was a 'real' alien, but he claimed to be; in any case, we both discovered our shared (secret!) passion for chess-excellence, and I've come to appreciate my 1990 Reds-cards extra-more...perhaps because we Americans simply love a jolly-bright story about 'human' darkness (ha).
