Let me tell you of the secret Icarus-File of chess-play concerning world-governance and human race intelligence in modern time. My name's Amlan Satan, and I was a chess-competitor during the tribulations between the West and Russia surrounding the Ukraine invasion, stationed in Crimea by American diplomats for a chess-school for students when the trouble(s) broke-out and reminded me of the news-tales of the Cold War chess-intrigue between the USA and collapsed USSR which has generated much commentary on modern social-media, by everyday folks.

The secret Icarus-File concerns the rules/standards of principia-chess play. Chess is a piece-position strategy board-game involving two sides of offense-defense, composed of varying motion-specific pieces (e.g., pawn, bishop, knight, queen) arrayed in symmetrical/opposing fashion to create risk-and-parallel play for variance and options-thinking. It's become synonymous with strategy, politics, human-IQ, and deep thought and has been used for computer-program sophistication designs. Chess became a hallmark of USA-USSR competitiveness during the Cold War and 'star-wars' involving the race-to-space, as Russians/Americans vied for moon-rights/laurel(s). Well, today's Russian tribulations involving Ukraine pitted me in a troubling spot as a Crimean chess-teacher during the Invasion and invoked in us imaginations of Martians and space-men fighting on the Red Planet, Russians or Americans, reflecting the Earth-chess parallel intrigue between Bobby Fischer (American champion) and Boris Spassky (Russian champion), which is still considered a 'sign' or art-post for today's sci-fi stories/comics regarding outer-space nation-border warlines/rights.

Bobby Fischer was in a tight position when he'd face Boris Spassky during Cold War intrigue between the USA-USSR, and the ideation of 'stalemate' chess, a condition of chess specifically describing a 'stale' or no-win position involving end-game no-resolution competition, with perhaps a few pieces remaining between both opponents/sides reflecting a complete 'draw' in strategy/advancement and therefore represents an 'intelligence' agreement regarding shared peace or null-fury. Stalemate-chess symbolizes what made chess so symbolic of political intrigue/IQ on Earth --- the ideation of complete 'peace' between competing individuals...or clans.

When we think of the Russians/Americans competing to go to outer-space or making contact with Martians-aliens, we might think of the modern-day allure of sci-fi media/comics/cinema reflecting this 'race' to engage a 'foreign' intelligence/species/clan and why chess-stalemate would symbolize for our species the 'very-best' in competitive sanity and why we'd want to (arguably!) draw a stalemate against an alien-species of Martians to draw out a 'sovereignty' plan of peaceful coexistence! In fact, perhaps a stalemate-chess condition is the best way to avoid the hellmouth of inter-species war and darkness, re-presented these days in various Alien media/movies.

We know of the mythology-lore of 'Icarus' a youthful vain sculptor who made special/magical wings made of wax enabling him to fly, but when he flew foolishly and headstrongly too close to the hot-sun, the wax-wings melted, and he fell down! The 'Icarus-File' I'm telling you about now concerning this 'stalemate-chess' symbolic evaluation of human-race/species sovereignty and politics-ideation(s) reminds us of the 'danger(s)' of Icarus-consciousness and why we might consider 'stalemate-chess' an omen-shield against the vanities of politics and nation-states in this post-9/11 era of commerce-bridging to sanity and global peace (in Russia and elsewhere).

Modern problems in civilization, such as Northern Ireland unemployment-angst related street-violence between the IRA-UVF, remind us why stalemate-chess had become a special diadem for the ideations of social control(s) or traffic-intuition governance, and it's why human beings think of intelligence in proportion to fortune or wealth-driven regional/cultural accords!

Perhaps the entire universe is a game of chess-driven competitive balance(s), and perhaps stalemate-chess reminds us how this secretive Icarus-File regarding the symbolic/applied impact of politics-strategy and shared accords regarding coexistence policies/thinking illuminates the very-best of modern global/media imaginations regarding 'shared' life in the post-9/11 era!

I tried to share the Icarus-File in various modern media and in magazines and on cyber-forums but was warned by 'specious' advisors and even officials in Crimea during the Invasion that my considerations of stalemate-chess drawn species-consciousness would only generate 'backwards' capitalism-thinking regarding the marketing of competitive strategy for this new-era of 'forward' or advanced market designs!

I decided to 'gift' this special Icarus-File to a friend of mine in Crimea, a chess-store and antiques shop-clerk (unnamed) who was also my girlfriend for a while and who agreed to lock it in a secret safe-box, perhaps in the Moscow Airport, for someone to read/disclose through the more 'safe' channels in the future, perhaps to better illuminate why this strategy-game of competitive thinking should/has become a 'signpost' for the potentiality of species-design(s) for 'real' democracy.

GIRLFRIEND: I'd rather have you, here/safe, with me, darling, than this Icarus-File (for Crimean-posterity!).

ME (Diary): I agree with you, darling; but this file's the most we have now; for future deterrence of non-negotiable invasions.

GIRLFRIEND: Sometimes...I get this 'haunting' (or 'Martian') feeling that chess will doom us all.
