A Board-Haunting: KingdomA Story by Abishai100A narrator claims his chess-board is haunted and explains to himself (in his journal) that the reason may be 'linked' to some 'kingdom'-distance.
A funny chess-diary inspired by Friday the 13th: The Series. Thanks for reading,

---- ==== Ever wonder why chess pieces are crafted/designated as kingdom/monarchy positions or power-roles (e.g., bishop, knight, king/queen)? I mean, chess is simply a game of strategy-arrays created by the actual piece-position movement variations, working in tandem to create entire-side/team offense-defense balances, in a symmetrical/asymmetrical fashion to craft arrays of linear-diagonal intuitive intelligence. In other words, it's basically just a 'mathematical-geometrical' strategy-game of logic or army-choreography! So, why're the pieces designated as kingdom positions (e.g., bishop, queen, etc.)? Well, the secret answer to this riddle is quite crafty/ingenious. It has to do with the re-presentation of why/how a piece with movement-strategy could or should 'cast' ideations of army intentionality, or position-based 'art' for offense-defense consciousness! Such 'consciousness' of course speaks to the 'metaphysics' of what composes an army's strategic intelligence/IQ regarding 'full' presentation of the 'thought' behind competition 'manifestos' of civilization itself. If you think about it, the emergence/development of the kingdom or monarchies was the first 'real' advancement in socialized organization of human-groups, as man progressed from roaming bands of hunter-gatherers and cavemen and began developing full societies, states, or systems of governance (or democracy!). While the game of chess remains a 'pure' strategy presentation for army tactics, and it can therefore be 'cast' for any hypothetical army representing any hypothetical 'form' of governance or warrior-IQ, its 'casting' as a monarchy-based/kingdom-based piece-position game reflects an 'earnest' interest in mankind to use 'basic' governance ideology to create/enhance the ideation of an offense-defense intuitive 'system' for competitive leadership. After all, the monarchy/kingdom was the first functioning predecessor to later epochs of socialist democracies, indirect democracies, and direct democracies (e.g., Scandinavia, India, United States, etc.). In other words, given the 'basic' strategy-consciousness of chess as a purified governance presentation, we can appreciate how the 'classic' piece-position board-came offers us an 'image' of a complete offense-defense rational form of 'simplicity' (or primalism!). It's therefore a 'hologram' for the ideations of first-order intelligence regarding army-strategy efficacy, from top-down thinking about 'basic' choreographed distances! Isn't that wonderful? Chess is like an 'abacus' for the evaluations of 'pure' army functionalism. After all, the kingdom/monarchy offered us the first 'real' socialized intuitions regarding leadership, deference, labor, ornamentation, and even metaphysics! Chess is to army-IQ what the abacus was to mathematics --- a 'first-stage' of human creativity. Maybe even Martians visiting Earth and dissecting human worlds would suggest to us, "Chess reminds you of the 'draw' of intelligence-d. That's why I was 'shocked' to think/discover that my chess-board, which I purchased at an antique-store, was haunted, and I started to get that 'eerie' feeling that the pieces were being 'moved' on their own while I was playing by myself, being the white-color side/team and intimating 'counter-moves' by the 'non-existent' black-color/team, representing the adversary. Perhaps this haunting, if I confirm it's real (after all), suggests that some 'alien' seeks to unnerve my otherwise 'beautiful' sensibility regarding what makes this 'classic' game so reflective of the 'nature' of descent. ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2022 Abishai100 |
