Three RedsA Story by Abishai100A tale of classroom imagination regarding sports-stats and imprints of capitalism-deeds.
A vignette about the 'academic' signature of sports-definition.

==== I started teaching a college undergrad course on the levels of probability-analysis involved with the natural statistical variations in the competitive sport of baseball and distributed special Reds team-sweaters (out-of-the-box) to my students for them to wear to class for the entire month and feel 'excited' about posting (privately/collectively) on social-media their own 'educated' ideations of modern sportsmanship mathematics reflective of capitalism-ethos (e.g., Facebook). ![]() STUDENT: These team-sweaters for the 'theme' of this month's coursework regarding stats-IQ for baseball records is ideal. ![]() Our classrooms at our (Ivy) campus are quite impressive, full with the modern feature(s) of media-tech and great spacing and interiors, which affords my students that 'extra-credit' touch of academic invitational consciousness, which I think would foster this level of stats-probability rigor regarding the great American pastime. ![]() STUDENT: Thinking of the 'chess' of baseball-stats and probability-IQ for evaluations of capitalism-matrices informs profit(s). ![]() TEACHER (Me): Now, I remember a 'canonic' American baseball film, featuring a 'charming' coach-character and social DNA! ![]() In this emerged/inventive age of capitalism-securities consciousness (e.g., 9/11), 'educational' ideations of what comprises the 'quality' of profit(s)-analysis nicely complements our youth-involvement(s) in the diagrams/contours of politicized democracy and therefore anti-terrorism derivations (for social-media!). ![]() STUDENT: You get this 'odd' feeling that the discourse(s) on the 'stat-IQ' of baseball uncertainty casts 'shadows' for magazines. ![]() ESQUIRE: Do you feel the modern academic environment in the West fosters the qualities of stats-depression? ME: Of course...in fact, I've no doubt about such a claim (wow). ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2022 Abishai100 |
