Teddy lived in this nice area of Boston (New England) with his fashion-designer daughter Esmerelda since the passing of his wife, Ezzy's mom (Danica), and he had an adult-dog/pet named Ralph who guarded them from dangers. This seems like an ordinary fable, but I assure you it is not, so follow along, folks.

TEDDY: Finally...I've got this magnificent baseball-chess set to see if a 'dashing' courtier will woo me for Ezzy (marriage).

RALPH: Woof!

TEDDY: We must guard Ezzy from the 'darkness' of Earth, my best friend.

RALPH: Woof!

Teddy grew up in the challenging Windy-City and developed an earnstwhile sense of courage and community values and wanted Esmerelda to have the very-best the modern world had to offer, including a rich and handsome young man who'd offer Ezzy the right life, and a love of movies!

EZZY: I'm grown now, daddy; I've got a 'rich' profession in the city as a designer; I don't need Ralph to guard me from aliens!
TEDDY: Don't be arrogant about what I need for us, Esmerelda; Ralph guards us/you as I do/care; fashion isn't democracy.

A 'stranger' passing through Boston (New England) met Ezzy at the Park one Friday afternoon, lunch-break, and explained he was working as a blood-diamond operationalist (with Interpol-relation!). Ezzy found him fascinating, this Algerian-American, apparently a 'real-life' James Bond, and knew he was the right 'Earth-prince' to introduce to her father (Teddy). Mr. Satan seemed strange/mysterious but also extremely pensive about capitalism-office(s), which is why he reminded Esmerelda of her own thinking daddy, a Boston baseball-card store owner with a rich pension from a live served on the police force. Amlan Satan happened to be an 'avid-fan' of social-media and shared with Ezzy his childlike love of Facebook-chess.

EZZY: What's this darling drawing of this 'Evil-Elf' (consumerism-avatar)?

AMLAN SATAN: You like it; I thought you'd like it; it's a capitalism 'diplomat' for Xmas-shoppers (ha).

Amlan moved in with Teddy/Ralph/Ezzy and started dating Esmerelda and impressed Teddy with his 'secret' acumen for stalemate-chess and its ideations for human governance symbols. Teddy knew that despite his certain 'danger-veil' in the modern Earth, Satan was a real prince and hoped he'd foster his developed/mature view on love/life in New England. However, I told you at the beginning of this story that this wasn't an ordinary fable. Someone/something else also thought/found Amlan Satan to be an 'ideal' prince of the Blue Planet --- a spying Martian named Endymion.

ENDYMION: Damn; you've countered my queen-knight advance(s) with a 'clever' rook-bishop double-line leverage-trap.

AMLAN SATAN: Ha; it seems we should evaluate if you're actually a Martian, spying on humans (as you claimed).

ENDYMION: My secret is mine and dark; but this stalemate-chess trophy you've earned warrants an Earth-residency compact!

AMLAN SATAN: Damn; I wonder if I should 'toast' this with a diamonds-earnings used sports-car purchase for Esmerelda.

ENDYMION: Damn.

Amlan Satan performed this micro-miracle, and the Martian (Endymion) conceded to self-exiled Earth deep-ocean residency status (secretly) because of the wrought chess-stalemate on Facebook against the valiant Earth-prince. Satan meanwhile purchased a 'cool' World Series (Upper-Deck) treasure-set for his future father-in-law (Teddy) and assured him, "Life on Earth will be a 'capital' design, Ted (ha)."
