Windy Market {A}A Story by Abishai100A consumer-woman in London-Fog coat is at a Chicago street-event and encounters a 'funny-stranger' who draws a magical diary.
A strange political encounter in Chicago, inspired by the 'journal'-thematics in the excellence-driven Western civilization film The Post (Tom Hanks). Thanks for reading,

==== The challenging Windy-City of the iconic/reflective Bulls-Bears (market!) hosted a special Saturday daytime market 'event' which would see the merchandising/selling of various goods/products/crafts including a rare book, foods, consumer items, and special treasures. A stranger was visiting this Chicago event and create a special 'fantasy' for a traveling consumer-woman (Sandy)! ![]() SANDY: I wonder what the Windy-City's offering to me this 'glorious' Saturday for consumerism/capital-IQ (maybe art!)! ![]() Sandy was in a nice London-Fog trench-coat that glorious-Saturday in the challenging Windy-City, as the weather was in the 50s and somewhat 'cool' for her. She found a cool stand at the Chicago market which offered a 'lucky' buyer a rather rare-edition of Treasure Island (Robert Louis Stevenson). ![]() SANDY: Funny; this is the 'treasure' for this city-market day; a 'cool' post-9/11 era copy of an iconic work about fortune-IQ. ![]() At the book-stand at the challenging Windy-City Saturday-daytime market is where Sandy first encountered the 'stranger' who'd been visiting the city from sectarian (Catholic-Protestant) Northern Ireland (United Kingdom). The Stranger smiled at Sandy and handed her an art-print card describing an anti-piracy unit infiltrating blood-diamond smugglers-vehicles in already-troubled (sectarian!) Northern Ireland (Catholic-Protestant), claiming the card-group was enlisting the 'aid' of publishers for journals regarding blood-diamond troubles in Belfast requiring new age monitors. The Stranger intrigued the traveling consumer-woman Sandy in the challenging Windy-City and felt 'moved' to accept his 'cool' offer for some post-market 'affair' coffee at the local bistro (Dartmouth). Perhaps he'd share with her some of his 'cool' Foreign Irish Republican Army comments/posts/reactions on social-media (e.g., Facebook). ![]() SANDY: Why won't you tell me your full-name, Stranger? STRANGER: Well...I'd rather keep our 'affair' in this Saturday bistro discreet for regular chat(s), Sandy! SANDY: Alright; so you claim you're an 'advocate' of cyber-chess and hype baseball-figurine themed chess-sets for youth? STRANGER: It's 'fantastic' youth-activity for modern United Kingdom; I noticed your American-TV ads about President-chess. SANDY: Oh, yes; that President-crafted chess-set was quite hyped on American TV stations, right! STRANGER: It's become a world connected by lifestyle/imagination activity, for sure (e.g., Home Shopping Network). ![]() The Stranger struck Sandy like he was right out of some 'cooler' or more fun work of Albert Camus, the 'quintessential' apolitical philosophical absurdist/existential writer who offered the world the iconic novel The Stranger, which Sandy, incidentally, read in high-school (Chicago Public S), and when the funny Stranger handed/gifted the Windy-City consumer-woman (in her 'iconic' London-Fog trenchcoat!) a pair of very dainty/delicious glass poodle-animals (gems!), she had to confess to him she was falling for her 'unique' and almost 'existentialist' charms in Chicago! They began dating and he took her to the very-same bistro the next Saturday afternoon and gave her (gifts!) to more glass-poodle animals (gems). ![]() STRANGER: I drew you this 'funny' consumerism-avatar, for capitalism-chess IQ, Sandy --- "Evil-Elf". SANDY: This is very interesting, Stranger; what it means is rather obvious --- youth-humor(s). STRANGER: Excellence; it's a world of cyber-chess for the youthful 'drawn' by ideations of capitalism-IQ, Sandy darling. SANDY: You're really a 'funny' being, Stranger. ![]() DIARY: The Stranger left my company in 1 month; I'd never see him, imagining him in Belfast; Chicago gave me a dream. ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2022 Abishai100 |
