A devil-woman tests a Chicago sports-writer's faith in treasure/collection with a 'choice' between a figurine chess-set and a Series-cards set (for exorcism!).

"
A fun treasure-themed sports fable set in Chicago and inspired by Mr. Destiny (Michael Caine). Thanks for reading,

In Chicago, in a sunny park, a devil-woman named Eve was about to challenge the sports-fanfare faith of a certain 'prince' named Amlan Satan to see if he'd be able to choose between a very authentic baseball-figurine crafted chess-set/board and an iconic World-Series (Upper-Deck) 1990 team-set (Cincinnati).

EVE: The 'proposal' I offer to Mr. Satan regards the diadem-treasure(s) of sports-media/market and will gauge his chess-IQ!

Now, the iconic World Series (Reds trade-cards) Amlan boasted/toasted was quite a modern marvel of a collectors-masterpiece, and it re-presented a capitalism-IQ regarding the fanfare 'chess' of what made baseball-cards so definitively colored/symbolic. After all the team it cheered shocked a dominant A's unit in the 1990 Series and resurrected a 'cool' organization otherwise 'down' by scandal (Pete-Rose diary).

EVE: Do you want to keep your Reds trade-cards/set, Mr. Satan --- or would you trade-in for this 'dashing' sports-doll set?
AMLAN SATAN: My gosh; they're both lovely 'treasure-gifts' of the sports-collectors consciousness, Eve; I need time to wager!
EVE: Good.

Now, as it turned out, Amlan Satan happened to be a model of social-media cheer(s) in the post-9/11 era and re-presented himself in various 'pose(s)' as a certain capitalism-defender/critic and was rather 'popular' as something of a Western/American (Catholic) figurehead of social-media/network commentary on competition-culture in the United States, and the journal(s) it moved/inspired (yeah).

EVE: Let's go inside this iconic Chicago sports-treasure store/shop, Mr. Satan, to consult with the sage-merchant (choice!).
AMLAN SATAN: Alright; I suppose an industry-expert would offer a 'cool' 2-cents about which treasure I'd hoard for the net!
EVE: You're doing well...I suppose this Windy-City merchant of the Bulls-Bears market would advise you to keep the cards.
AMLAN SATAN: Well, no; he might see the 'draw' in the chess-set/board treasure as well; we'll gather his vote(s) (regardless).

MERCHANT: I can see Mr. Satan brought his special comics-doodle consumerism 'evil-elf' avatar with him (to enhance today).
EVE: Yeah...he's a net-blogger of sports/capitalism commentary in the post-9/11 era, Mr. Merchant.
AMLAN SATAN: I dunno which one to choose --- the Reds-series cards and the figurine (baseball) chess-set are equal (wow)!
EVE: Why don't you consult with your own 'oracle'-avatar (Evil-Elf)...to see which one's more...democratic!
AMLAN SATAN: Alright; according to my comics-doodle avatar (Evil-Elf)...I should keep the cards-set (Upper-Deck).

EVE: He chose wisely; those cards aren't worth much but are symbol-gems for chess-IQ; the figurine-chess set was a vanity!
