Amlan Satan started out as the idealistic detective of troubled Chicago (United States, Earth) where he started work on a case involving a nefarious patterned 'psyche' targeting serial-killer who chose to use a special American Series-set (trade-cards) to send social-media messages about the 'omens' of obsessing over pro-baseball on Earth. Detective Satan (Amlan) countered this urban dark crusade of crimes with his own Selfie-posts offering citizenry-messages about everyday folk(s) who simply liked baseball-fanfare.

The serial-killer went by the anonymous alias John Doe and placed copies of the Series-set (trade-cards) at each of his crime scenes, with each victim representing some sin/vice reflected in some consumerism/fan 'obsession' with World-Series pro-baseball in Chicago (United States, Earth), with special highlights on the 'ends' people, given varying condition(s) or circumstances would go to for sports-representative fantasy-vice(s).

JOHN DOE: As you might've read in the cyber-post(s), Detective Amlan, my sinful crimes and bloody-murders/decapitations (etc.) reflect some 'loss' of spiritual energy reflective in each victim's 'ignorance' regarding 'basic' sportsmanship-chess intelligence or metaphysics; negligence by God created by wayward 'human' behaviors even a Martian/alien would deem worthy of colonization/eradication; each victim/crime/sin 'linked' to the Series-set (trade-cards) 'exemplifies' their condition/circumstances reflective of an 'ignorance' regarding value(s)-driven storytelling.

What Detective Satan (Amlan) realized by the pattern(s) of John Doe's dark message(s)-rich crimes and themes with pro-baseball 'cards-negligence' or 'ignorance' of sports-magic/value(s) was that there was some message-bond between overt apathy towards the 'chess' of sportsmanship and the impact or 'consequence(s)' of human frailty --- be it with sports-treasure obsession or simple 'apathy' towards treasure-value or patriotism. The stewardess murdered in Chicago, for example, remembered how her ex-husband, accused of adultery, was a pro-baseball 'nut' and resented seeing the Series-set (trade-cards) before she was given a lethal injection.

He commented at the museum lecture(s), "The nature of human vice regards the 'focus' on the 'diagonals' of cast excellence."

GIRLFRIEND: I thought you'd enjoy a scrumptious shrimp-veggie quiche (for Thanksgiving emotion(s)), sweet.

AMLAN: Thanks honey-bee; seems quite the repose(s) from 'dark' comics-chess mission(s)...poor Chicago!

GIRLFRIEND: Don't think too hard on it, Satan;  it's a matter of taste (really).

Perhaps John Doe's real 'chess' message was one of stalemated vice engagement(s). Perhaps it was all a matter of transcendence. Perhaps those 'haunting' Series-set (trade-cards) link-messages simply offered the good folk(s) of the challenged Windy-City a 'fairer' way to conceive of the 'truer' end(s) of metaphysical woe(s) and corruption --- like Satan's girlfriend advised (shrewdly) --- it's all a 'taste' matter! Amlan started to forget about John Doe, but what he wouldn't put away with pure apathy was the sense(s) that 'human' frailty was a consideration of 'pure' Ego.
