A tale of chess-oriented sports intrigue (and worry!), inspired by Mr. Destiny (Michael Caine).

I'd been making social-media connections regarding the exuberance of sportsmanship/competition diagrams reflected in media-broadcast era sports after watching an intriguing politics-symbolic YouTube documentary about the globe-value of the Fischer-Spassky chess-rivalry during the Cold War between the USA and USSR.

I thought of a special/particular World Series, the 1990 match between the Reds-A's which saw a powerhouse offensive returning champion (A's) suddenly 'stalked' and 'shocked' by an upstart team-chemistry IQ Reds team which defied nearly all expectation(s) and delivered a 4-0 underdog 'triumph' of modern time(s), and it 'equally'/arguably resurrected a down franchise still rising from the 'spirit(s)-ashes' of the Pete Rose social-media 'controversy' era. The Reds achievement in media-broadcast era sports in that iconic 1990 Series in the United States created a 'fantastic' fanfare/collections consciousness for sports (baseball) writers seeking 'treasure(s)' symbolizing the flowery or 'intelligence' of competition as a mentalism for choreographed uniformity (wow).

I got myself a 'fantastic' baseball-figurine chess-set which would serve as a 'diadem' of this vital Earth-link between competition and the casting of focused offense-defense (for triumph) or a 'chess-stalemate' in the form(s) of choreographed field ergonomics (ha). In other words, that special 1990 World Series and the 'treasure(s)' or diadems it invoked reminded media-broadcast era sports fans/audiences of how baseball itself would/could lend itself to the 'chess' pyramids of world expression(s).

You might ask yourself, "If there's a 'cool' chess-stalemate to the hoisting of Series-baseball treasure-identification(s), may there be a human race intelligence 'omen' to the casting of sports-trophies as special 'species' symbols of the yearning for excellence or underdog-achievement in the true form(s) of artistic expression(s)?"

Of course there is, and it's why we re-present sports as a reflection of human world problems and conflicts and it's why we might look as a 'world-symbolic' sports rivalry in soccer between a superpower nation and a lesser-developed nation (England-Argentina) as symbolic of the 'intelligence' of competitive thinking or raw ambition in capitalism theory! It's why we might consider an 'upstart-underdog' triumph of the resurrected Reds in that iconic 1990 Series as symbolic of some human world 'alienation' story/expression about unanticipated miracle(s), as in the American Civil War itself (wow). It's why we might even cast a science-fiction evolution-omen tale about 'dragon' intelligences engaged in civil-war(s) as reflective of a 'human' understanding of the tense/intriguing 'nature' of competitive dance. Such 'art' therefore would become quite reflective...or valued!

So, I invited some of my social-media pals (e.g., Facebook-chess) to my New England home to play some chess and enjoy some locally-resource lobster ingredient quiche (with creamy cheese!) and enjoy some YouTube uploads of the 1990 World Series (Game 2), after which, I'd showcase my 'fantastic' Reds Series-set (Upper-Deck) trade cards for ideations on what makes capitalism/competition a 'chess-stalemate' in socialized definition(s)!

FRIEND: These Reds (Series-set) cards seem to 'quantify' a capitalism 'density' in value-driven meditation, eh?
ME: Sure, they do; in fact, I consider this as 'valued' as my baseball-figurine chess-set itself, bud!
FRIEND: You're getting to 'drawn' by these 'chess' ideations of competition diamonds and buttons and arrays, no?
ME: Perhaps that's a 'wise' statement, bud; perhaps the Reds-set is becoming my 'excellence' obsession (in intelligence!).
FRIEND: Would you trade those cards for a Valentine's Day 'treat' with your girlfriend...a proposal for marriage?
ME: I suppose that's not 'inconceivable' even for a chess/sportsmanship romantic like myself, buddy.
FRIEND: That's a stranger account, pal...the notion that competition may 'breed' true elongation(s).
