Snake-Eyes prepared for his engagements in the battlefield following 9/11 and was concerned that his sense of sensitivity regarding the devastation of the 'excellence' of human intelligence regarding the 'calm' of chessplay would make him a biased/negative soldier for home-return social-media/Selie-patriot chats surrounding war-journals/friendship!

He had this antique Xmas-chess set which he used to create stalemate-diagrams of perfect competitive parallels for strategy-stabilization signaling a perception for extra-credit human senses of war-controls and linear focus. This calmness thought-process would be 'naturally' threatened by the anarchy of battlefield gunfire in the Middle-East and draw him away from the 'crafting' of human excellence in focused sensibility (or mood!).

Indeed, his experience on the battlefield was horrific and invoked the ideations of wartime fury and pride and reminded him that while chess-stalemate was a sign of intelligence-parallels, the real war-experience of anarchy in gunfire almost always would 'give' to the instincts of self-serving and sometimes even 'mischievous' fascination with strength and 'pure' conquest. This was dangerous, of course.

SNAKE-EYES: The human race expression of fury is one of mind-orientations.

Perhaps Snake-Eyes was spied on by a Martian who'd think to challenge him to a stalemate-conditions chessplay to warrant a compete human race sovereignty or non-invasion diplomacy policy had Snake-Eyes achieved that 'extra credit level' of focused/calm strategy-intelligence orientation precision for controls in race-equivocation (or the Ego) for art's sake.

SNAKE-EYES: When I came home, I met an Italian-eats waitress and married!

WIFE: Let's enjoy the gusto of life and attend a college-game for journals/romance, darling.

Sure, the normal overground world of the war-survival 'view' is one of pure human race 'chess' excellence, and Snake-Eyes would be envied by a Martian (indeed) for such species-consciousness (or endurance), but perhaps (arguably) the 'prize' is one of accessed dominion magic (or celebrations).
