When Steve Spurrier of Florida became the Gamecocks coach of the South Carolina football unit and took them from meager struggles to a Division-I title in the United States, the university received much media-lights because of the famous American college-athletics coach and cool brainiac, and this story's about some post-Spurrier era superstitions regarding a new chess-society (cyber) known as the New-Porcellian (NP).

“I didn’t say we are going to win a lot. But we are going to play like winners, and we’ve got a plan in place to teach our guys how to play like winners and play like a champion” (Steve Spurrier, Gamecocks-football media-statement).

This superstition tale at South Carolina concerns a sociology professor from Harvard named Amlan Satan who'd been studying the psychometrics patterns of commerce-life 'treasure' collections in consumerism culture and its impact on the trends/designs of modern capitalism ideology/rhetoric in the post-9/11 era. Professor Satan liked hoisting his special 'iconic' Americana-symbol of the sports-media 'treasure' market in modern times (late 20th-Century), a cool Topps (USA) Olympics-card of the celebrated one-armed American sportsman (baseball-pitcher) Jim Abbott.

SATAN: Excellence...we're here to understand the media-role of post-9/11 era commerce-life 'links' between treasure/life.

STUDENTS: So...we're to think like 'consumer-patriots' for defenses of commerce-life/treasure collection value(s), professor?

SATAN: Excellence...this post-9/11 era of sports-market intelligence is a 'chess' game for life's Ego/distances (for investors!).

Professor Satan's course on the sociological patterns/links concerning commerce-life sports-market 'treasures' and consumerism-rhetoric in the post-9/11 era serving as capitalism-chess ideations became very popular at South Carolina, since the university was especially reflective on that 'sacred' relationship between academic life and athletics. In fact, it prompted social-media commentary from many folks who wanted to offer this 'Selfie' culture 'personality' chess ideas about what made American education/life a reflection of capitalism-ideology 'defense' (United States).

STUDENT: He's brought a special 'erudition' to this campus regarding the nooks-crannies of 'personality' driven academic Ego.

When Professor Satan was found dead in his office, seemingly having committed suicide, rumors flew that he'd become 'insane' with all his academic ideations of the 'chess' links between commerce-treasure and the folklore/metaphysics/sociology and even superstition of capitalism-IQ in the post-9/11 era, but a special student-fan of his, Emily Durks, decided to conduct her own investigation which led to the horrid examination/conclusion that Satan was killed and the suicide staged by a psycho who read his cyber-blogs about 'capitalism psychology' and wanted to cast him as a 'general fall-guy' in the modern post-9/11 era of commerce-life paranoia, which is why a strange superstition culture film-poster was found in Satan's office when his dead-body was found, stuffed in his campus office drawer, and Durks knew the killer planted the poster/image inside to 'draw' a social-media message like, "Superstition about treasures curse the American and not educational ardor."

DURKS: I'm going to find this 'specter' who concocted this campus poison-chess at the expense of Satan himself!

SOUTH CAROLINA FOOTBALL SOCIAL-POST: Satan's departure is tragedy which we 'transcend' with continued 'field' spirit(s)!

DURKS: We also discovered a rather unusual 'robot-toy' craftsman chess-set/gameboard in Satan's office; symbol of the Ego?

The point of this campus 'academic' mystery is that the 'fears' generated in the post-9/11 era concerning the roles key 'characters' play in the defense of commercial life in the United States affects us all in this 'invention' age of social-media commentary, so perhaps Professor Satan's idea that consumerism/lifestyle 'shapes' the way we conceive of life's 'natural' magic/psychology holds some 'real' value regarding the 'intelligence' behind danger-energy (wow).
