Narrated professor's claim to jungle-city brilliance study and contours of civilization's vanity-face for the Ego's dough.

An anthropology 'faerie-tale' inspired by the excellent modern life-film Gorillas in the Mist (Sigourney Weaver). Hope you like it (and enjoy!),

I worked at the Duke department of Evolutionary Anthropology to study the nature of organic life development and understanding of intelligent behaviors in groups or teams relevant for modern human social grouping understandings of complex systems/civilization 'chess' IQ and applications even to our modern social-media or 'Selfie' cyber culture of network-driven behavior 'enhancement' consciousness.

AMLAN SATAN (Duke Professor of Evolutionary Anthropology): To understand cyber-nets and jungle-apes links is pure chess-IQ!

STUDENT: How do you feel about social-media/net ideations of behavior 'idealization' in comics-avatars and 'hero' worship?
PROFESSOR SATAN (Duke): Excellent question, young lady; there's a 'chess-tuning' in heroics and teamwork-IQ for life-study.
STUDENT: How is this curious inquiry evidently clue-tracking by everyday traffic-behaviors in consumerism-society on Earth?
PROFESSOR SATAN (Duke): Another good question, young man; there's patterns of risk-reward analysis for 'celebrity' intuition!

Sure, there's a chess diagram for organic-life patterns and risk-reward intelligence analysis relevant for ape-life in the forests of South America just as there are for consumer-choice groups on social-media in the developed/urban world of decision-making based profit/enhancement imagination. That's what led me to the forests of the South American lands to study 'chess' like intelligence among gorillas, to compare with the social-media/capitalist decision-making 'system' right here in North America.

JOURNAL: Can we substantiate that intelligence can be a 'model' for applications to multiple group-IQ behavior prediction?

As I expounded on my inquiries at Duke and prepared to travel to the dense jungles of South America, I wondered about the nature of intelligence evaluations for evolutionary theory and applications to developed-society decision-making insights for quality of expression regarding group-behavior dynamics or even risk-reward based leadership prioritization. What can gorillas in the mist teach us about FaceTime in North America (ha)?

FOREST-GUIDE: You'll notice, professor, that the gorillas move in packs and act like teams of thinking nature-diplomats, no?
ME: Of course...in fact, I'm already taking notes on how young gorillas flock to parents/leaders for 'prestige' of learning, no?
FOREST-GUIDE: Very true, professor, very (haha).

These gorillas in the mists of South America contend with the 'dark' forces, as they see it (arguably), of civilization encroaching with more 'professional' capitalist visions of hydro-dam erections meant to extract/distribute 'energon' resource for mass populations of humans conflagrating to the halls of the cities seeking 'efficiency' in electricity. What do the gorillas know/care about FaceTime?

JOURNAL: Preference-IQ among these jungle-gorillas may reflect human-city choice-chess IQ regarding priority-levers (wow).

When I returned to North America and began taking notes on the use of iPhone-FaceTime (app) for social life and media-shares and electro-communiques for 'advanced' living brightness, I thought back on the gorillas in the mist and what they revealed to me about that 'everpresent' pattern of group-behaviors surfacing 'true' images of shared priorities, profits, risks, and happiness (ha).

However, this sciences tale isn't simply a normal story but invokes darker ideations of the chess-IQ behind expansion of borders of human civilization and the images of ambition with weapons and empires and what they may erase about what's to be discovered from the primal life of (albeit!) group-based organic life (ape!) prioritized survival mechanisms for 'intelligent' imaginations.

JOURNAL: The proliferation of 'patriotism' as story-concepts in Western-civilization affects primal views on life's Ego-chess.

So, why all the modern 'fuss' about the shapes/ideals of advancing intelligence for chess-IQ or decision-making sophistication for risk-reward prioritization or survival mechanisms drawing the excellence of adaptation or evasion too? When I downloaded a sci-fi/horror film on Netflix about encounters with intelligent but eerie/evil 'aliens' and thought about the gorillas in the mist of South American jungles contending with encroaching hydro-dam projects of man, I wondered about relative contours of species-exchanges and imaginations of the 'intelligence' behind survival's worst faces --- e.g., vanity.

WIFE: What you need, honey-bee, is a Sunday-brunch of multi-ingredient tasty mini-quiches to complement football-TV.
ME: I suppose our son (Damian) would indeed appreciate a sunset relaxation media-experience for Sunday-football!
WIFE: How else would you move him to become a Duke star someday if you don't teach him about life's simply priorities, eh?
ME: You're so brilliant.

As I began thinking about human group decision-making complexity in our developed civilization and pondered the shapes/images of 'serious' advanced group-conflicts of 'sectarian' quality of expression of violence or guerrilla warfare, I wondered about the city-street 'guerrillas at dawn' on the brink of changing the 'faces' of vanity seen in empire-visions of post-9/11 era commerce-bridge 'goals' to secured peace (for shared networks of 'serious' Ego-calming!). This is raw irony.

LECTURE: I feel like a sophisticated/erudite 'sage' now of those gorillas of the jungle and think of guerrillas of Belfast (now).
STUDENT: Do you feel that social-media access highlights a human-world 'lens' for network-driven group-wisdom?
LECTURE: Wisdom is as important as risk-reward analysis/prediction in behavior or 'chess-IQ' analysis and requires study!
STUDENT: Maybe I'll take your ideas, professor, and study social-media 'imprints' on primal animal-life in Australia's Outback.
LECTURE: Well...seems my 'erudition' lecture on primal/advanced group-intelligence inspired an attendee to draw art!

WIFE: Here's some world-fare sophisticated Asian-Eastern egg-curry I made for Saturday-night movie-viewing (Alien).
ME: That's excellence, honey-bee; I'll enjoy this with the wine you got and think less about 'developed' Ego (hmm).

The life of the intelligentsia may be well-tempered by the comforting Ego-calming 'effect' of social-media/movie 'amenities' of civilization's hospitable consumerism faces, and it's why we link 'celebrity' to human race expression of 'pure' distances. That's what my wife thinks too (wow).

"There's a theory that says that life is based on a competition and the struggle and the fight for survival, and it's interesting because when you look at the fractal character of evolution, it's totally different. It's based on cooperation among the elements in the geometry and not competition" (Bruce Lipton).
