Stranger inside Supermarket

Stranger inside Supermarket

A Story by Abishai100
"

Narrated 'claim' of a prince who witnessed something 'unusual' in a supermarket and felt compelled to 'draw' a 'chess' mystery (for his own Ego).

"
A vignette about the consciousness behind the Ego-straying of inside-world fantasy (or danger), inspired very loosely by the relevant film The Strangers (Liv Tyler), which I hope you'll like,

I was at the supermarket in New England and was carrying with me my special fave American Olympics baseball-card gem, of an iconic one-handed pitcher of great giftedness and felt generally giddy and spiritual about that day's experiences and exercise when I walked into the supermarket, not realizing what I was about to experience. Follow along!

I was at the supermarket, and when I ran out and to the park to get some air after my stranger encounter inside this supermarket (New England), I decided to return to the marketplace and get a hold of what I had experienced when I noticed cop-cars and a very bizarre crime scene involving a man who was stabbed in the parking-lot by an unknown assailant.

My name's Amlan Satan, and I'm a Dartmouth grad and princely-inheritor of fortunes and write sports-comics and fables online and go to the supermarket on weekends, usually Saturdays. I enjoy culinary-arts, creative-writing, science-fiction movies, and chess. I also like sharing my Selfie photos with others. Some consider me a prototypical Earth-prince. I also have a metaphysics/theosophical fascination with 'faeries' (tiny winged humanoids of the Earth-forest with messages of wisdom/warning). I wondered what faeries would make of our Selfie-culture on Earth these days.

This stranger encounter inside the supermarket concerned the vision of a lovely lady who was shopping for fruits and wearing a Coronavirus-mask when I beheld her beautiful form and thought about asking her to get some coffee with me, at a nearby Starbucks cafe. As I approached her, she suddenly turned her head and gazed at me with a stranger sense of consciousness or 'psychic' awareness, as if she somehow knew me! I started getting frightened and hallucinated her eyes were glowing and ran out of the market at the moment and wondered if I simply recognized this 'mystery-woman' from some social-media network photo-share earlier that month (hmm).

When I got to my car in the market-lot, I noticed a handful of toy sapphire gems strewn on the ground, and I wondered (seriously) if the toy-diamonds belonged to that mystery-woman I saw inside the supermarket and was honestly thinking I was hallucinating she was some disguised 'faerie-humanoid' offering some life-message about traffic encounters of a stranger 'dimension' inside a supermarket. After all, we're all so infused into consumerism-consciousness these days, we may wonder if we're envisioning 'other-worldly' forms of supernatural superstition oriented fantasies.

I decided to get myself an 'alien-invader' themed chess-set/toy the next week and used it to create recreation arrays of iconic Fischer-Spassky (USA-USSR Cold-War rivalry) games and started thinking 'deeply' about the strange links between the strategic symmetry/diagonal of chess-game decision-making and stalemate-competition 'intrigue' and what it might mean for our consumerism-immersive modern human race 'conscious' imagination about stranger encounters with 'foreign' intelligences drawing an 'alien' vision or visions of 'incomplete' distances. Was life on Earth all about risk and thought and shopping and Selfie-superstitions?

I decided to download a special modern aesthetic horror-film featuring a very other-worldly story, a dark magical horror-tale about wedding party guests retreating to a nearby shared vacation cabin and being 'invaded' by the presence of a trio of very mysterious stranger 'folks' in eerie masks wielding weapons and creating an altogether 'incomplete' sense of 'dark-faerie' like exercise in the very 'real' form of intolerable darkness (wow).

JOURNAL: Stranger encounters may be all around us, and the key to sanity may be in the 'chess-risk' of enduring this mystery.

"Everyone's quick to blame the alien" (Aeschylus).
