Buffalo's Thanksgiving

Buffalo's Thanksgiving

A Story by Abishai100
"

A Buffalo 'expression' about living values and wrought quiet/surprising magic, reminding us (all) why America's dough.

"
A vignette about smalltown/American value, inspired by multiple media.

Buffalo Xmastime theater/environment was all about the charm/hospitality of New York non-city life and after the football season ended, the good folks thought about all the TV and cakes for that special playoff season during which their hometown Bills were celebrated, albeit modestly, for a substantial resurrection in their franchise since the Jim Kelly era of Super Bowl appearances/heartbreaks (ah).

AMLAN SATAN: I've lived in Buffalo for a time and manage a bakery and cheer for the Bills (since the Kelly-period) and collect cheerleader football trade-cards and market them in cyber-tales about New York non-city life 'flair' for sportsmanship excellence (ah).

The bakery that Prince Satan managed in Buffalo, which saw lots of business that Xmas season of media/spirit was called the York-Cake, and it offered, among other things, some of the best chess-butter cookie cake you'll ever find/taste, anywhere in North America. However, with the holiday-season ended and Buffalo fans now looking toward autumn for more sportsmanship/spirit, Satan's chess-cake eats were only a memory for the superstition-storytellers (aha).

AMLAN SATAN: I'm looking to settle down and marry now that my past-life of great adventures and 'capitalist race intrigue' after graduating from the Ivy-League is way-behind me; and I'm going to find this 'American woman' in a Buffalo church Sunday gathering or perhaps at a local carnival this summer or perhaps through an online Buffalo social-media network activity highlighting why our human race is so 'incompletely' distant (wow)!

Prince Amlan used a special commerce-traffic parody 'avatar' named Evil-Elf to characterize a special Buffalo superstition surrounding capitalism and/or consumerism, perhaps during the Xmas-season, and this 'character' would capture all the 'dark-magic' of commerce-life in New York, even outside the city, during holiday-season shopping, and perhaps win him the affections of a lovely female youth-art/storywriting 'admirer' in Buffalo (named Sherry).

SHERRY: This is a disturbing American film, sweetheart.
AMLAN: It's an unusual film; it's about dark city life; it's unusual, certainly.
SHERRY: I thought we were going to get an ice-hockey film tonight (Saturday).
AMLAN: Nah, the Sabres struggled this season; I'm depressed, Sherry!
SHERRY: What's so special about Hoodlum?
AMLAN: Reminds me of New York...emoji.
SHERRY: Aha (cool).

SHERRY: What if Amlan Satan turned out to be psycho; would I still 'hail' him as a New York star?
