Xmas-Mall: Hyper Thor

Xmas-Mall: Hyper Thor

A Story by Abishai100
"

A narrated 'vignette' about the human race symbolism (capitalism-culture) of toys and consumerism for Xmas-visions of mall-cozy dough.

"
An homage to what makes consumerism and toy-shopping so representative of the human 'condition'; inspired by Toys (Robin Williams). Thanks for reading (retiring),

I was at the Franklin-Mills mall shopping for my nieces one Xmas season when I thought about the sheer fantasia and imaginariums tied to modern capitalism and what would inspire youngsters (today!) to create imaginary worlds of great adventure/friendship, and I realized that commerce-life on Earth had become a society 'thing' of great expression and lifestyle examination.

My name's Amlan Satan, and I started making cyber-tales of capitalism superstition and began to think about all the post-9/11 era splendor in the American Homeland and all the toy/treasure securities (or insurance!) that made for 'excellence' in the personality domain of social-media shares of lifestyle conversation/friendship.

Sure, capitalism's straightforward and simply a system of competitive bargaining and investment for production and distribution/trade. However, it's also a 'stylish' decision-making mega-concept hovering around the design/aesthetics of 'personalized' goods-supplied lifestyle. Today, consumerism drives online grocers, medical access, social self-help paid services/products, and of course, toys and fashion and hence the 'science' of capitalism itself. It's become a system of personality and private expression and perhaps one of shared/social-media inventiveness. It's why the visit to the Franklin-Mills mall for Xmas inspired me to think of the 'variances' in culture-expression in consumer-goods for shopping, such as ethnic femme-dolls appealing for youngsters/girls fascinated by the 'adult-civilization' of composed daydreams.

I went to the robot-toys section of the toy-store area of the Franklin-Mills mall and found quite a symbolic/iconic 'metropolis' toy 'super-robot' transforming model named Metroplex who shape-shifts (mechanically/hand-held) from a warrior-humanoid to a super-city to a rolling battle-station, and this super-toy obviously symbolizes all the 'flowery' of capitalism and conceptions of war-defense romance appealing for youngsters/boys fascinated by the 'adult-civilization' of composed ambition/profit.

I decided in the end to purchase a very 'cool' ice-hockey themed chess-set, for my son (Damian), for whom I presented the gift as a meta-symbol of all the splendor of what makes commerce/capitalism a 'game' or competition 'system' reminding us why sportsmanship and friendship and social activity is akin to the human race of great examination.

DAMIAN: This is a good reason to get into chess, now, dad; this is way cooler than standard boards.
AMLAN: Good, Damian; now, you'll get a vision of what makes chess a 'game' of human standards!
DAMIAN: Thanks dad...Merry Xmas.

I myself decided to get a Blu-ray edition of the excellent culture-shock post-war film Dead Presidents (Hughes Bros.) for Xmas and meditated on all the superstition and lore and 'darkness' or mystery that made for excellence in both civilization chess (and intuition or paranoia) and civilization escapism. I started to ask myself, "Is a movie like this a sign for what makes our race 'incompletely' dangerous?"

I decided to get a Thor (Marvel Comics) super action hero coloring-book for my beloved daughter (Danica) and wanted to encourage her to think about all the daring/courage that would inspire cute/inventive coloring and art to capture the 'magic' of a super-dude/hero (Thor) who reminded us why we 'invent' gods/avatars to communicate 'real' illusions about the basic mystery of capitalism's unique (if complex) 'dirty' face (wow).

"Doing well is the result of doing good. That's what capitalism is all about" (Ralph Waldo Emerson).
