Stranger-Jersey

A Story by Abishai100
"

A dark prince invades the Voorhees-townhome of Kristen (NY-model) to erect a special social-media 'image' of dominion (or Ego!).

"
A cool suburban and social-media culture 'adaptation' of the incredible (if 'eerie') American crime-horror masterpiece The Strangers (Liv Tyler).

Amlan pondered forever how he'd corner and trap a special American East Coast model named Kristen in an idyllic suburban townhouse in a small town called Voorhees while she'd been away from her New York office, and he found the 'chance' to create a special terror-stakeout as a masked 'stranger' and even fashion a 'social-media theater' out of the misadventure for an Xmas-exposition about the Homeland 'quality' of isolation.

AMLAN: I'll catch this lady-bird of the modeling universe for Voorhees-lore and cast myself as the 'stranger' man with a future-vision of cyber-messaging concerning the 'damsels' of Homeland brethren (ha).

When Kristen was inside her quaint Voorhees/Jersey townhouse that time-away from her NY-model job, this eerie 'stranger' prince, an American homegrown threat to residentialism, Amlan, sneaked into through the open back-door after breaking in the night-before to unlock it and presented himself and showed the frightened 'damsel' her special golden gun (wow).

KRISTEN: Why'd you want to stalk a random New Yorker like me, stranger?
AMLAN: Why, to frighten the 'wit' out of you, lady-bird of modeling!
KRISTEN: Did you find my image on social-media (or something)?
AMLAN: I surely did; and I saw your Voorhees-townhouse photo.
KRISTEN: Did you snoop around locally to determine my address then?
AMLAN: I'm something of a 'sleuth' and felt 'praise' for your model-IQ.
KRISTEN: Are you going to shoot me (or something), stranger-man?
AMLAN: Nah...I want your social-media 'image' to remain noble, darling.

KRISTEN: What're your intentions then, stranger?
AMLAN: I'm keeping my mask/glasses/hat on...and we're playing Monopoly!
KRISTEN: How'd you know I love Monopoly (Parker Bros.)?
AMLAN: I read your post on social-media, Kristen, my lady-bird.
KRISTEN: Alright...but why Monopoly, man?
AMLAN: It's a capitalist race game, and you're part of the race, honey.
KRISTEN: You're 'softening' me for bloody-murder, no?
AMLAN: I won't freak-out; let's play (first!).
KRISTEN: Alright.

Amlan/Kristen played Monopoly that summer-day in her Voorhees townhome for hours, and he discussed with her all the dandiness of capitalism superstitions and real-estate fortune-hunting fantasy and the 'lore' of luck and investments and how she'd fascinated him with her 'sense' of modeling-IQ, and then (finally!) put-away his golden gun.

AMLAN: I won't shoot you, since you won the Monopoly game, Kristen.
KRISTEN: What now (then)?
AMLAN: I'm giving you a lethal-injection and leaving a suicide-note.
KRISTEN: May I read this note, stranger man of Hell?
AMLAN: Don't fear; the note shall read, "Frustrated by the woe(s) of capitalism...departing for the company of angels."
KRISTEN: What'll folks think/say?
AMLAN: I'd imagine, on social-media, they'll comment, "Kristen was a model of 'immaculate' child-like sadness...a true American tragedy!"
KRISTEN: What will you do then, bad friend?
AMLAN: Why, I'll post a Selfie with a comment, "Anyone wish to play Facebook-chess in memory of Kristen (wow)?"

The Stranger carried-out his communicated act and achieved the 'deed' of Voorhees darkness that summer-day and effectively turned Kristen, our tragic heroine, into a real American saint. She'd be buried in a local cemetery (where her departed/beloved mother lay too), and the detective(s) on this stranger home-invasion 'tale' reported she'd committed suicide (hmm).

FACEBOOK-FRIEND: You'd been an 'avid-fan' of Kristen (the saint)?
AMLAN: Certainly, pal.
FACEBOOK-FRIEND: Do you think she 'really' loved Monopoly (the game)?
AMLAN: Everyone does; it's a game of unusual symbolism (capitalism).
FACEBOOK-FRIEND: You 'strike' me as a man of deep-thoughts.
AMLAN: That's the nature of social-media culture --- personality/chess.

Later that autumn of the same year, Amlan the stranger-man of Voorhees, decided to download the eerie true-story drawn American tragedy-horror film The Strangers and thought (deeply) about the nature of Western culture that had turned Kristen, his 'doll' of message, into a capitalist race demo 'saint' of the Homeland (wow).

FACEBOOK-FRIEND: Gosh, you look so festive for the Xmas-season, Amlan.
AMLAN: Thanks, pal; seems I feel like an elf of some kind (hmm).
FACEBOOK-FRIEND: Hey, did you write that modeling-world poem about Kristen?
AMLAN: Nah...too busy sharing my Xmas-sweater Selfies and tale of consumerism superstition.
FACEBOOK-FRIEND: Isn't social-media darling?
AMLAN: Everyone's into the 'dough' of it!

Amlan had become an 'avid-fan' of cyber-chess (now) and continued to network with others 'fascinated' by the modern social-media 'network' of friendship/activity oriented Homeland conversationalism, and he'd remember his first/only 'true' victim (Kristen, our protagonist tragic-heroine!) as the 'angel' who'd drawn a special 'check' in him (wow).

"Capitalism is the astounding belief that the most wickedest of men will do the most wickedest of things for the greatest good of everyone" (John Maynard Keynes).
