The Magic Cake (Somerdale)

The Magic Cake (Somerdale)

A Story by Abishai100
"

Narrated tale of a shopping (supermarket) man (Jersey-USA) who discovers why/how 'everyday-life' yields a 'magic' silver-highness.

"
An American-life romance-experience linked with everyday consumerism exercise and 'unanticipated' human sanity.

I was driving to the local supermarket/grocery on a Saturday's Eve to find a perfect 'magical' cake to uplift my spirits after my neighbor/friend had moved to Arizona, and I was feeling somewhat lonely/left-behind in my South Jersey area of Haddonfield/Voorhees/Somerdale where I lived/shopped as a regular Homeland consumer and Catholic-man of modern American life.

I decided to share my intention to get to the supermarket (Somerdale) to find this 'perfect' cake at that moment in my life and perhaps find some cool social-media/cyber 'faces' to connect with to inquire of what their Saturday's Eve plans had been in this Homeland of consumerism-lifestyle and TV-fun on a weekend-night. I wondered if I might find a friend to chat about this goal to find this 'magic' cake before I headed to the market (ha).

Well, at first-glance, the bakery area of the Somerdale-Jersey shopping 'experience' in the Homeland seemed quite hospitable and gave me a welcomed sense of 'charm' as I sought out a premade 'magic' cake (or perhaps the right-stuff ingredients or semi-made/premade cake I would or could 'spin' into a magic food-exercise at home), as I felt lonely/left-behind by my neighbor/friend who'd just moved to Arizona. Well, American shopping conveniences is all about that special 'wrought' sense of everyday-life's sense of capitalism-race warmth (or Ego).

As I grabbed my 'magic' cake items and prepared to head-home and download GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra (Dennis Quaid) on Netflix, I noticed a very gorgeous American lady-hawk, in Coronavirus mask, shopping for fruits in the produce/veggie section of the market (Somerdale) and felt compelled to approach her and invite her over to my place for cake/cinema. She looked like the sort of woman you might find a picture on in a Google-search prompt like, "pretty woman at WalMart shopping for fruits."

PRETTY-WOMAN: Thanks for the cool invite, stranger; I'm currently divorced!
ME: Cool; or uncool (whatever); I wanted to take your photo (hmm).

We got married! I was no longer lonely, after the departure of my neighbor/friend who moved to Arizona and left me in South-Jersey (USA) by myself. I never forgot that 'magic' cake outing to the market (Somerdale) which drew me to my newfound life of Homeland comforts/happiness. In fact, after we watched that Netflix patriotism-film that Saturday's Eve, I promised myself I'd watch/toast the same movie every Memorial Day (ha). I gifted my wife (Esmerelda) a cool toy-ring for Valentine's Day and wondered what my life would've been had I not sought that 'magic-cake' that weekend-night (hmm).

"Doing well is the result of doing good. That's what capitalism is all about" (Ralph Waldo Emerson).
