2001: Father/Son {A Sports' Who}A Story by Abishai100Presentation-tale of a college-athletics 'event' in the pre-9/11 time of the new millennium highlighting civilization 'value' for shared height.
A special 'feature' story of 'legendary' Duke basketball, reflecting various world/civilization concepts concerning 'distances' to greatness/humility. Thanks for reading,

==== Well, fathers-and-sons sagas or drama had comprised a major 'force' in capitalism-race storyboards and formed the backbone of much sociocultural and even folk-literature and even media-life intrigue for Earthlings, and this diorama-presentation of a father-son intrigue concerns a sportsman's hand-write regarding a special 'event' in 2001, the first year of the new millennium. This event, the 2001 NCAA men's (college) basketball championship (Duke-Arizona), highlighted a special modern media-broadcast age 'lens' for fathers-sons intrigue for spotlights in ambition...and humility (wow). ![]() Mike Dunleavy (Sr.) was a prominent/respected pro-basketball (NBA) coach, and his celebrated college-athletics (basketball!) 'prodigy' (Mike Dunleavy (Jr.) was competing in the 2001 NCAA men's (college) basketball championship for his Duke ('Blue-Devils') team against the touted/athletic Arizona team. This father-son (Dunleavy Sr./Jr.) 'duo' in modern sports (pro/college) for that 2001 'event' in the media-broadcast age, the first year of the new millennium, before 9/11 (incidentally!), was a spotlight for what made Western-world highlights for fathers-sons intrigue a special 'athletics-handshake' for capitalism-race storyboards (for all!). ![]() Well, Duke-Arizona (2001 NCAA championship) was quite the 'affair' for social-media culture, as it highlighted a special interest in the sports-media dominion in this first year of the new millennium/age, and Dunleavy (Jr.) would prove to be/become that late-time game-hero or 'angel' for his 'Blue-Devils' team of great coaching when he hit multiple late-game 'nailbiting' 3-pointers to seal Duke's 'hand-delivered' triumph in 2001 (wow). ![]() Arizona was a very tough team that 2001 NCAA season (indeed), and their appearance in that 2001 championship game was quite the thrill for their fans (indeed), and for the American Southwest entirely (indeed), but Dunleavy (Jr.) had offered their athletic-execution a special brand of 'miracle' driven 3-pointers giftedness in the late-goings of that champions-class 'event' in the first year of the new millennium (wow). ![]() Well, that 'trophy' for Dunleavy (Jr.) and Duke was a real media-broadcast age 'success and it proved to be a great laurel for the son of Dunleavy (Sr.) and perhaps/arguably a 'signpost' for why/how fathers-sons intrigue would reflect a special light on the dualism between coaching...and athleticism. Dunleavy (Jr.) would certainly have to reflect on the levels of respect his father (Sr.) had obtained as a pro-basketball (NBA) coach, while he himself (Jr.) had attained that high-level of media-broadcast age (2001!) limelight/success as a performing court-athlete (for Duke!). ![]() Athleticism is a grand exercise for the Earthling consciousness, and it's become a rather 'pronounced' form of capitalism-race activity and consciousness in the development of our civilization(s), and for the Dunleavy (Sr.-Jr.) 'duo' in the modern age, the Duke 'trophy' in 2001 and the coaching-respects/laurels earned by Dunleavy (Sr.) proved to be quite the 'race-reflection' symbol for what made athleticism/celebrity a form for Earthling storytelling. Indeed, athleticism and coaching and Olympics/sports ('celebrity') had created much 'handhelds' in the annals of Earthling hype (for all). ![]() Nadia Comaneci, a pronounced Romanian gymnast (Olympics) scored a 'perfect-10' in her area of greatness and became the first Olympian to do so, and she brought great media 'lights' for her home-country/culture, and we might 'reference' such lights in this civilization of network-driven history/storytelling when/if we consider how Nadia's 'laurel' brought us 'closer' to those 'Romanian' forms of hospitality/genius, like wonderful Romanian dishes/entrees (ha). ![]() My name's Amlan Satan, and I'm a sports-writer, and when I consider how that wonders-rich Dunleavy (Sr.-Jr.) 'duo' in the media-broadcast age reflected a special 'trophy' in that first year of the new millennium (2001), before 9/11 (incidentally!), I think how fathers-sons 'intrigue' spotlights my own 'fascination' with the literary/chess value of what's made civilization storytelling for athleticism/superstition/world-culture a natural 'thing' of handshakes for network driven 'personality' in exchanges-driven capitalism-race hubris (for all!). ![]() Did Dunleavy (Jr.) think 'deeply' about the respect-levels his father (Sr.) earned as a pro-basketball (NBA) coach when he himself (Jr.) earned that 'grand' 2001 trophy for Duke ('Blue-Devils')? Did he think about how his father's role(s) in pro-basketball success could 'humble' his college-athletics performance for media-broadcast age storytelling, given how coaching 'paralleled' the court-field performance/celebrity of stories about the 'hospitality' of capitalism-race home-work (hmm)? ![]() Well, when I procured a special/certain 'magical' Dunleavy (Jr.) college-basketball 'trophy' following that 'fantastic' 2001 Duke championship, I thought about how fathers-sons intrigue for the media-broadcast age could 'highlight' a special form for what's made sports-storywriting a special 'magic' --- that 'obtained' form of civilization's home-sanity. ![]() "Doing well is the result of doing good.
