A 'super' fan diorama of what makes a 'hallmark' college-athletics program in our 'magical' Homeland a reflection of capitalism's unique 'media' hand-call.

"
A 'diorama' about college-athletics sportsmanship 'heroics' with a hand-fiction reference to the 'hailed' Duke ('Blue-Devils') men's basketball program, which has become a 'hallmark' of American Homeland media highness (for 'rich' hyperbole); inspired (loosely) by Blue Chips (William Friedkin).

This is my special diorama-fable about an iconic American media-broadcast age college-athletics program, the 'fantastic' Duke University (Blue-Devils) men's basketball team, which had boasted numerous stars, great stories for sports-writers/fans, and offered fans/commentators numerous 'laurels' for a competition-class 'orientation' reflective of what makes our capitalism-race 'energy' (for social media culture!) a 'thing' of chess/handshake Ego (for fantasy/hyperbole). Follow along, friends!

Well, this diorama tale I'm offering as a 'lifelong' media-distant 'super' fan of Blue-Devils 'ghost-magic' in the Homeland for the modern time features 5 'stunning' and reflective games in Duke's long-history, and each one might show you why sportsmanship and competition for media-comment in this Homeland can reveal a special 'shine' for what makes 'American' activity an educational 'forum' for great chess (or rhyme(s)). The first game, a 1995 'shocker' between the then-struggling Duke program (lowly-ranked!) and the hot-handed UNC (Tar-Heels) which had created a long-standing 'rivalry' for Duke's illustrious 'American media tale' for modern time, went into double-overtime thanks to a buzzer-beating miracle-shot 3-pointer by a Duke 'fellow' (Capel) which would remind all of the nature of Duke's special 'knack' for casting competition-highness (hmm).

The 2nd game in this 5-game feature for Duke story-writing is a 1993 'stunner' which raised to a great media-upstart story-character level the Wake Forest (under-rated) prodigy-guard/shooter Randolph Childress who'd give Bobby Hurley's 'smaller' Duke Blue-Devils a 'straight' form of competition-class heart-breaking challenge, and it forced Duke fans to wonder about how the Blue-Devils, winners of 5 national titles, countless ACC wins, and numerous regular-season #1-rankings, managed to achieve a special 'media-level' gold-diameter despite all the challenges of 'fiery' wishes/race faced by them in the Homeland sportsmanship 'story' of 'gifted' hand-ambition.

The 3rd game in this 5-feature diorama-series of media-broadcast age student-athlete 'magic' is a 2005 new millennium 'micro-classic' which resulted in a Duke loss to a prodigy Wake-Forest team, led by the unusual guard Chris Paul, nevertheless shined a funny-light created by the pure shooting-loner JJ Redick, whose string of 3-pointers simply reminded fans/writers/audiences why Duke Blue-Devils 'ghost-magic' had become a special (timeless!) thing of extra credit weirdness (for all).

Well, we're almost through this 5-game tale, friends; and this 4th one is a heartbreaking loss by Duke in 1993 suffered at the hands of the 'fiery' future NBA superstar Jason Kidd, who dethroned Bobby Hurley's magical 'smaller' 1992-1993 squad who (otherwise) sought to 'stun' the media-Homeland audiences by offering greatness after losing some of its greatest contributors who helped them reach/achieve 2 national championships (1991/1992). This Kidd-shocker would remind Americans/all of the nature of competition's strings in the media-age and why the 'story' of school-teams offer us an 'educational' examination for what makes student-athletes special 'messengers' of a 'chess' excellence in democratic horseradish (wow).

The 5th/final game in this 5-piece 'set' I'm offering is the iconic 1992 Duke-Indiana 'showcase' featuring a reunion between Duke's Coach-K and Indiana's Bob Knight, and a 'showdown' between the prodigy-athletes Bob Hurley (Duke) and Calbert Cheaney (Indiana), which yielded streaks of offensive prowess, responsive runs of controlled team-action, and eventually, Hurley's commandeering of what had to be the only response to Cheaney's 'unique' brand of college-basketball competition (hmm). In fact, this is one of the truly 'under-rated' games of college-athletics in the media-broadcast age for many Americans/writers (including me!).

So, why all the 'gold' charm of roses and fantasy for Duke's iconic and storied program in this age of media, which offered us writers/fans/commentators countless 'moments' of competition-class highness that would reflect an 'American' sense of choreographed fantasy (hmm)? Perhaps the numerous stars and contributors (and coaches!) of Duke's long-run of 'ghost-magic' charms and 'chess' music remind us why social-media life for the West is all about the 'handshake' of storytelling-lines (and its 'reflective' outline!).

Well, maybe Duke is really the media-age 'faerie-tale' mantle-holder of college-athletics insight and fanfare and humble/American hospitality (wow). I might think of Peter-Pan and the Lost-Boys and Peter's friend Wendy and how their 'flights' of intuitive stories offered us the image of competition and teamwork imprinted onto our American capitalism-race 'environment' for education/hyperbole. There's many teams in sports-history in these United States that may fit the 'bill' of a Peter-Pan 'ghost-magic' and most are pro-level teams of immortality (sure), but maybe (arguably), Duke's Blue-Devils were the 'flying' messengers of what makes competition/teamwork a 'thing' of undoubted risk.

So, this Xmas, you might consider getting your child a 'cool' college-athletics/sports cheerleader 'figurine' doll, perhaps a Duke-Barbie (or something comparable!) for a capitalism-race 'education' in what's made media-age storytelling/enchantment a certain re-presented 'thing' of toyland-oriented 'social' hospitality (for white-stripe).

You know, when I enjoy a 'classic' movie about non-pro level sports fantasy/daydreams, I start to 'think' what's made the competition-class landscape of college-athletics and student-athlete 'education' for our 'fantastic' Homeland a reflection of special 'holograms' of capitalism's unique hand-readings.

I consider myself a long-standing Duke 'super' fan in this media-age, and this 'diorama' presentation reveals not my intention to cast the Blue-Devils 'lore' as standout-singular but to remind folks around this media-rich Homeland of the post-9/11 era why student-athlete 'confidence' and cheers reveal our special Western/American 'love' of the theater/handshakes in social-media culture 'friendly' ratings. That's superstition...at its 'very' roomy (for all).

"Doing well is the result of doing good. That's what capitalism is all about" (Ralph Waldo Emerson).
