A Chicago-fable or 'noir' proportion in honor of Independence Day, inspired by the Romanticism-complication themes from the unusual/stirring culture-wind film Dead Presidents (Hughes Bros.). Happy-4th!

Let me tell you the dark and somewhat complicated tale of Amlan Satan, a patriot-grad of the Ivy-League who was drafted into the post-9/11 era war against terrorism and returned jaded/injured and soul-less enough to seek a bank-box heist of a blood-diamond baron's 'insured' treasures in the Windy-City and casted himself as a wannabe Robin Hood 'character' with a social-media 'handshake' concerning the dark distances to modern capitalism-race 'chess' widgets (hmm).

AMLAN SATAN: As a prince of this Homeland in this post-9/11 era landscape of Chicago, I consider my work to fight this terrorist-veil of securities evils a pure 'deed' for patriotism, and I can't help feel the jaded 'color' of American insufficiency in social media 'handshakes' for veteran journals (for the Ego); I need something...more...white.

If purity is what our protagonist antihero 'prince' of the modern Earth (Amlan Satan) sought, it's what he'd achieve as a patriot of a jaded consciousness, as he 'reinvented' himself as a blood-diamond bank-box 'Robin Hood' after hearing from the street-chats of the challenged Windy-City of Bulls-Bears markets of the Baron Ion who invested in sports-teams and diamond-insurance world of handshakes, which is how I heard of his 'dark-lore' and misfortune tale, friends (ha). Well, Amlan Satan marched into the Chicago bank-box vault-area where Ion stored his 'insured' Sierra Leone 'conflict-zone gems' and used his street-theater toy water-gun (secretly filled with acid) to reveal to the escorting guardsman that this 'deed' for gem-insurance commentary was 'prepaid' by a rival of Ion's in this Windy-City diamond-market white-wash (for the Ego).

GUARDSMAN: We heard the 'rumor' of Ion's wind of insurance corruption.

MANAGER: We thought this masked 'theater-artist' was some Ion-market rival 'messenger' for criticism.

TELLER: The insured stones of Ion's (now) 'drew' cyber-commentary (wow).

GUARDSMAN: I'm getting my wife some Catholic-jewelry for 'white' memory!

GIRLFRIEND: You're from Algiers, and I 'doubt' this journal-deed is securities.

SATAN: Excellence and no fear(s), sweet-lady, for this is a hero-deed.

GIRLFRIEND: Look, I'm dreaming of being a 'Blue-Devil' teacher after graduating.

SATAN: Your life (now) as a basketball-cheerleader is 'pure' and for a 'safe' vision.

GIRLFRIEND: I worry...about us, Satan.

SATAN: Hey, I'll share comments on social-media about sports-wishes.

GIRLFRIEND: Maybe.

Satan outwitted Ion's blood-diamond brain in Chicago and then got himself an alien-invader sci-fi media-themed chess-set for his post-deed cyber-homeschooling venture in the challenged post-9/11 era of Windy-City social media commentary concerning capitalism 'life' securities/confidence for our 'species' of 'wild' examinations. I (secretly) hoped I'd follow his cyber-posts/writings about 'alien' wind (ha).

Well, this American tale for a 'legend' has a sad-twist after all, since Baron Ion assigned his corrupted 'detectives' to frame Amlan Satan as nothing of the 'Robin Hood' variety and drew a horrid gem-insurance examination in the challenged Windy-City that led to his incarceration and his break-up with his girlfriend/fiancee, that darling cheerleader dreaming of becoming a school-teacher in this Homeland (America). 'Prince Satan' gifted his beloved lady-friend a sweet Sabatini youth-tennis card 'prize-fanzine' treasure image (in protective/insured case!) to remind her that what he sought (without success) for his 'cure' to jaded post-war/veteran-life heroics in this blood-diamond 'mystery' would never erase that American dream-concept that capitalism simply may not be a playground for destroyers and would remind us of the 'pageant' of the great US-history of those 'securing' dead-presidents we (now) see happily printed on those beautiful American currency dollar-bills of great 'sportsmanship' value. No story about capitalism can (in irony) offer a 'perfectly' white conclusion (hmm).
