Doll/MasterA Story by Abishai100Narrated 'claim' of a college-sports 'superstitions' writer who believes his muse-figurine sports-doll (Galatea) offers him a 'word' of wrath (for the soul).
A college-media/competition-culture 'paranoia' fable (loosely) drawing on the themes/concepts from the American sports-film Blue Chips (William Friedkin).
----
==== I'd been writing special college-athletics media-culture superstition-tales on the cyber-highway and decided to procure a special sports-representative college-team colors figurine doll to complement my writing and named my special figurine Galatea and all was going according to that writer's desk-plan of muse-inquiry when something other-worldly occurred to me, when my doll came to life and began whispering omens to me that made me (sincerely) worried about what I'd been 'learning' about the culture of competition in the Western-world and the Golems it hoisted as 'gods' of work (hmm). ![]() My name's Amlan Satan, and I've found various sports-superstition oriented topics and events and icons and symbols for my college-media access-windows view-storytelling exercises on the cyber-highways of the post-9/11 era Homeland (America) of network-driven social activity/chess, and I'd considered myself as becoming something of a net-imagineer of this new time of complexity 'linked' social-media citizenry-commentary/handshakes. ![]() GALATEA: You can hear me, Mr. Satan? AMLAN: Yes, I can, Galatea, my lovely muse, but I don't believe this. GALATEA: What's to doubt, Prince Amlan (for I'm as 'real' as your mind!). AMLAN: You're (only) a college-media athletics-muse doll/figurine (for me!). GALATEA: Sure, but I've a special 'omen' listing for you, Amlan Satan. AMLAN: I fail to comprehend this apparent hallucination/superstition! GALATEA: Well...I'd like you to apply your interest in media to risk-paranoia. AMLAN: You want me to write about the 'specific' paranoia of capitalism? GALATEA: Yes, Mr. Satan; you're a 'solid' writer; focus on the 'fear' of fortune(s). AMLAN: This is some omen-listing for Western media-culture's readings? ![]() I know what you're thinking, folks...this can't be (really) real (for any writer seeking a figure-muse for storytelling!). I'm not insane. Why'd I want to 'hallucinate' that a Galatea sports-figurine muse-doll I procured to inspire my college-athletics superstitions-writing came to life to move me to an omen-listing for story-themes, specifically the 'paranoia' of risk/disaster in the post-9/11 era Homeland (America) tied to capitalism's readings (hmm)? ![]() GALATEA: You'll write a tale of an athlete who loses his Galatea...and his title(s). AMLAN: Why such a tale of dreads? GALATEA: Well, Amlan; this is a world of competition-hospitality...and demands! AMLAN: Some kind of 'omen' about steroids (perhaps)? GALATEA: That's a 'shrewd' connotation examination conclusion (with me). AMLAN: What more can be said about this 'fear' of risk/disaster? GALATE: The 'image' of success/sports drives a 'table' for capitalism's comfort-mind, Mr. Satan. AMLAN: You'd like me to 'complicate' this table-image with paranoia-wording! ![]() WIFE: You claim your "Galatea' college-writing muse-doll 'demanded' extra credit work? ME: Yes, Esmerelda; this was something like a 'nightmare' with academic-IQ. WIFE: Maybe you're just simply too paranoid (yourself!) and dreamt this affair, Amlan. ME: Maybe that's exactly correct, Ezzy; but I think there's some vanity of value (here). WIFE: Treat the dream/omen/vision like a compass for sanity/decision-making (then). ME: That's good advice, Esmerelda; me thinks my Galatea's reading for warning(s). WIFE: That's good conclusion, Satan; consider the 'image' of capitalism's weight(s). ME: Wow...I just wanted to be a 'beauty' writer (ha). ![]() "Doing well is the result of doing good.
