Lancelot's Everyman

Lancelot's Everyman

A Story by Abishai100
"

A 'creative' presentation of the 'complex' English character of Medieval origin and (perhaps) mod-Western 'richness' significance(s)!

"
An inventive telling of the legend of the offbeat/controversial Medieval (English) knight Lancelot. Thanks for reading,

Let's explore this European lore of the great if controversially 'mired' Medieval/English knight, Lancelot, who'd made himself to be quite the Camelot-kingdom of 'celebrity' with that horrid spice of adultery scandal in retellings but nevertheless maintaining a special 'worldly' touch of audience-fascination with swordsmanship and 'hired' defenses for kingdom-materialism, which (arguably) lends itself to some modern Western culture social-media 'commentary' concerning the rich 'color' of sword-and-flower matriculation(s) for all.

Fabled to have been born to a lost kingdom and then raised in spirit(s) by the mystical 'Lady-of-the-Lake (immortal), Lancelot wandered over to King Arthur's 'pronounced' domain of Camelot and courted (unjustly perhaps) his 'troubled' queen (wife) Guinevere which resulted in all forms for controversy/scandal in that time of feudal manors, feuds, knights with shields, battles for territory, and pseudo-democratic 'premonition' of our (own) modern Western conceptions of 'round-table' hospitality and 'hotel' linked Earth-readings (hmm).

ARTHUR: To 'serve' as a sword-knight of our Round-Table (Camelot), you study!
LANCELOT: It's quite the honor, or a wandering spirit (like me).
ARTHUR: Concessions for honor follow the view(s) for examination.
LANCELOT: I can see your Queen Guinevere's fixed by this table-system.
ARTHUR: She's a richly complex wife, Lancelot; this is a self-class.
LANCELOT: You're a shrewd/rich king of great visualized materialism!
ARTHUR: Learn to fight for Camelot...and the future's reading.

Guinevere became 'obsessed' with the ideation that Camelot had 'inducted' this wandering spirit-swordsman of 'fantastic' skill and great imaginative curiosity if 'touched' with a sense of 'homeless' identity, but Lancelot's consciousness stirred the Queen's spirit (ironically), which is why their adulterous affair (inevitable) disgusted the King and forced his hand to 'demand' the inducted Camelot-swordsman (now) prove himself in the field of battle after failing to 'shine' as a castle-court master (wow).

LANCELOT: With my handy sword, King Arthur, I'll restore grace(s).
ARTHUR: We shall see, Lancelot; for Camelot has dragon-breath enemies.
LANCELOT: Good; I'm your servant (for a time's reading).
ARTHUR: We shall see, Lancelot (carry on in materialism for us).

That's just what the 'defiant' Camelot knight of currency-exile resolved to perform, for his once-praising Arthur and returned to the 'castle-company' of his 'famous' Round-Table knights, on a field of war where an adversarial 'dark-force' of challenge, led by an estranged 'relation' of the King himself, required Lancelot to wield a new 'image' of that timeless expression of everyman-desirable sword-hand (for all).

GUINEVERE: I'm (now) sequestered as a praying confidante for my King.
LANCELOT: Our war-examination proved to be a future-view for triumph!
GUINEVERE: You may/can consider me a 'diner-table' distance-ally (then).
LANCELOT: That's just beautiful; the future shall praise our form.

Sure; that it would. Lancelot brought back honor to his sheath-and-sword with his return-for-battle on behalf of the crest/shield(s) of Arthur's Camelot and then retreated to the neighboring green/magical hills of Ireland where he courted a very nice/lovely 'Catholic' maiden named Shelbye whom Lancelot considered a 'restoration' angel for transcendence of his older-time of great kingdom/castling 'controversy' that would require 'strides' for extra credit consciousness concerning (real) image-making.

The future-world would hail Camelot as a fabled 'celebrity-world' of inventions in adventurism and governance and story-boards. In fact, one might frequent an English/Irish pub of the modern West (today) and enjoy a meat-pie of 'historic' scent(s) and (perhaps) recount (with Guinness record!) why that old-Euro 'handshake' tale of 'complications' concerning the spirit/madness of Lancelot creates a 'zesty' sense of wrought fortune-readings (for all).

HISTORIAN: Think of a social media 'friendly' Medieval-Barbie (in this 21st-Century Earth)...and remember that 'bounty' knight-visage, for Lancelot's matter (ha).

Consider a media-colored inventive Medieval-era comic (today), likewise, and 'think' of that glitter surrounding Lancelot's sword and the 'darkness' surrounding his complications-in-castle wordings, and you may 'derive' a special equation for what's (surely) a lore for that Euro-age of incredible crests/leads (for all).

LANCELOT: For if sword saves sadness, Camelot's reading for a 'future' modesty (for me!).
