Time-travel 'musketeers' seek a jewelry-chess inside an aristocrat-estate (gathering) for 21st-Century (American) matter!

"
A fun modern 'twist' on Plunkett & Macleane (Jake Scott). Thanks for reading!

Mr. Plunkett decided to use his special time-machine to travel back to 18th-Century Europe to perform a daring raid of an aristocratic estate where the ancestor of a modern-day blood-diamond baron had boasted a very fine gem-piece, now being 'toasted' on social-media in the American Homeland (21st-Century) for citizenry/intelligentsia invested in the 'high-hand' fiction of commerce/capitalism vanities (for the Ego).

Mr. Macleane, Plunkett's only true buddy agreed to go on this time-travel adventure, having been the only soul to whom Plunkett, our protagonist 'mad-science' antihero, revealed the design/functionalism of the time-travel portal-device.

MACLEANE: Here I thought we'd be posting on social-media some 'Halloweentime' bank/gem-heist (New England) for a citizenry-traffic 'critique' of mod-capitalism chess (ha).

Plunkett and Macleane walked through the time-portal and made for some pretty nifty discovery in the 18th-Century 'layout(s)' of Europe (England) and noted the varied forms of aristocratic lifestyle/customs inherently reflective of this 'age' of inventions in style and vanities.

PLUNKETT: Thank God that time-device (ironically) worked to perfection!

PLUNKETT: We've been 'spotted' on the streets with our 21st-Century clothing.
MACLEANE: Well, we'd explained we're simply street-theater artists, right?
PLUNKETT: Regardless, we need costumes and weaponry and hence money!
MACLEANE: We might lift some guns and trade for goods/moneys for entry.
PLUNKETT: Good; the 'trick' here is to smuggle guns and enter the estate.
MACLEANE: Good (excellent).

While Macleane set-out to get the guns from the 18th-Century English city they arrived in, Plunkett gained entry into a science-equipment suppliers building and obtained the 'necessary' items to create/modify the guns his buddy Macleane would present to create some nifty 'acid' guns for burning the metal-boxes where the aristocrat-estate owners laid their 'ancestral bloody gems' for what'd become a history-photo collection for 21st-Century storyboards (hmm).

LADY DAPHNE: We're mighty pleased you accept this invite to the party!
DUKE ESTRANGE: No notice of your affable science-diplomat demeanor, ha.
LADY DAPHNE: There's always imagery magic in our time for gathering(s).

Sure, the event was quite the 'affair' in 18th-Century Europe, and Plunkett/Macleane set-out to integrate themselves into this 'event' of high-fortune gathering, and while Macleane wooed some of the 'princesses' at the grand party, Plunkett sneaked into the jewelry-security room, inebriated the lone-guardsman (Leo) and used his weaponry/tools to burn the metal-box and swapped the jewelry-piece with a (cool) replica he made inside his workshop. Plunkett/Macleane then shot their way-out and into the highwaymen-road(s) on stolen-horse (masked) and made for a legend in the track(s) of treasure-insurance materialism (for the Ego).

LADY GOODHALL: You're Macleane (one of those two highwaymen)?
MACLEANE: Yours, truly.
LADY GOODHALL: You consider my estate more 'hospitable' and charmed (then)?
MACLEANE: Surely, I do.
LADY GOODHALL: Perhaps me thinks you only make for evil Romanticism.
MACLEANE: My honor is true, for you...and your 'fine' estate!
LADY GOODHALL: What, I'm to 'ride-off' with you as a damsel from cage(s)?
MACLEANE: Why not...isn't this estate something of a bird-cage for the lonely?
LADY GOODHALL: Perhaps; it's nevertheless my memoir of imagery (alright!).

Lady Estelle Goodhall returned to 21st-Century America with Plunkett and Macleane and married Macleane, who'd become her time-traveling 'knight' and rescued her from her 'unholy' adopted-family conditions/surroundings in 18th-Century England. This would make for some 'cool' social-media culture friendly story-write, according to Macleane ('rich' with imagery too).

PLUNKETT: It's my high-hand honor to bring this 18th-Century gem-piece, customized with the help of the historian-merchant who 'gifted' it to me (ha) at this Williamsburg 'gathering' to cheer this American culture 'evolution' from the (documented) Euro-custom(s).
AUDIENCE: Here, here (good)!
