Amlan Satan had been a pickpocket in Algiers before getting on a boat to America and gaining admission into the Ivy-League where he studied psychology/economics to cast himself as a Wall-St. 'sage' and street-capitalism 'chess' infiltrator with a special eye for 'grifter' superstitions and was shocked when his empirical 'Crusade' for wrought fortune-readings was 'crossed' by a humbling engagement with an American 'doll' named Esmerelda ('Ezzy') who'd move him to consider the quality of real commerce-matrix mysticism and perhaps move him to social-media culture fanfare/spirits in democracy-shares (hmm).

He decided to challenge a Churchill-Downs (rumored!) blood-diamond investor (Ion) who'd be persuaded by a new upstart-racer company (Arklow-horse) that would (likely) become a millionaire-laurel in capitalism-race 'chess' matches for media-world investments (wow). The plan was to draw Ion's company for co-investments/commentary for Arklow-promise(s) and thereby draw (Interpol-relation) monitors while he 'quietly' made (secret) gem-swaps for insurance journals and thereby cast himself as a pseudo-vigilante 'thinker' of this Homeland age of great 'incomplete-distances' to securities/confidence materialism (for the Ego).

ION: You strike me as a 'natural' grifter, Mr. Satan.

AMLAN: I'm merely a prince of this capitalism-examination for spirits!

ION: If your/our racer-company wins?

AMLAN: We claim the Arklow-millionaire 'image' as diamond marketing!

ION: If the company loses/deflates?
AMLAN: We'll (certainly) offer social-media buzz for money-hype (hmm).

ION: Alright!

The plan worked and Ion's company 'deflated' while Satan/Arklow 'shares' for fanfare skyrocketed in the American South, following the rise of the racer-company in horse-racing lore/myth (ha). Meanwhile, Amlan still considered how his newfound 'chess' patriotism was blending with his ongoing courtship of his new lady (Esmerelda).

EZZY (Esmerelda): I'd like you to write a great novel about 9/11, Satan.

AMLAN: Why me?
EZZY: You've got that holographic eye for (all) things American-feudal.

AMLAN: As in sarcasm, Esmerelda?
EZZY: No, no...as in 'real' Homeland confidence (for materialism).

AMLAN: You remind me of my mother, back in Algiers.

EZZY: Was she a teacher?
AMLAN: She was a 'sage' in the area of terrorism-finances omens.

EZZY: Wow...you might offer social media photos/tales of bad-guys!

AMLAN: Alright (thanx).

Well, Amlan/Ezzy had become our tale's special Romanticism-duet and Amlan Satan was inspired to make an adapted comics-vigilantism tale online, complete with doodles about heroes/villains and 'masked' artists for racer-deeds concerning treasure-insurance motions/examinations. He'd forgotten all about his heroics with the Ion/Arklow 'event' at Churchill-Downs drawing blood-diamond (Interpol-relation?) eyes and rogue terrorism/piracy finance(s) intelligence/chess and was now (officially) a world-man of certain 'artistic' materialism-readings (for the Ego).

EZZY: Happy?
AMLAN: I thought I was a grifter...but I think (now) I'm a magician!

EZZY: Good...for social media.

ION: This guy sent me this college-media 'ticket-prize' image card trophy.

ASSOCIATE: Wow, a college-basketball prospect item of media-value(s)?

ION: It's a Redick-Duke card worth more in 'street' lore/media-IQ (really).

ASSOCIATE: Is this 'gift' some sarcasm for Homeland readings, baron?

ION: Maybe the gesture signifies the sender's 'Crusade' for castling.

ASSOCIATE: You can't win them all, Ion.

ION: Capitalism-race 'chess-stalemate' offers (all) a 'wage' for booksellers.
