The Getaway: B+A Story by Abishai100Can two Homeland 'vigilantes' headed to the American Southwest contend with the 'force' of darkness for a roadway(s) view for ('rosy-chess') mechanics?
An extra credit 'bright' adaptation/fanfiction of the hip 1994 remake of that jarring/jaded 1972 Peckinpah mod-Homeland 'classic' about crime-psyche landscape/roadways Romanticism The Getaway (Roger Donaldson). This is the last one I'm making for this particular film (I think), and I hope you like (and thanks for reading),

==== AMLAN: We're through with legalese; we're vigilante-material for Phoenix! ESMERELDA: If you think this is social-media/sane, I'm for photo-sharing. ![]() Amlan and Esmerelda, an idealistic legal-couple in the Homeland (New England) decided to 'dart' for Arizona to enter the blood-diamond 'lair' of Baron Ion's company and make a sportsmanship wage and exchange for an insurance journal commentary and treasure-swap of communications-worthy gems and considered their 'borrowed' blue-steel auto a thing of 'comic' valor proportion(s), but were they prepared for darkness/capitalism photo-graphics? ![]() BARON ION: So these two wish to make sports-trophy trades for insurance commentary online, but I fear they're amateur circus-clowns. ASSOCIATE: Test their mettle before they get here, with our assassin. ION: Yeah, Fred's quite resourceful for these estate-vanities (for me). ASSOCIATE: Good for social media! ![]() The evil Fred, dispatched to intercept Amlan/Esmerelda, found the two darlings at a Courtyard and tried to shoot Amlan in the foot but himself was shot by Esmerelda, forcing him to crawl to a nearby med-center (private-practice) where he was treated by the (unhappily) married doc-couple (Ted/Shelbye). FRED: Now that I'm alright, I'm taking Shelbye with me for vengeance. TED: What? SHELBYE: We may appear as Facebook-docs, but I'm looking for adventure. TED: Shut-up, Shelbye; please leave here, sir. FRED: Not without a kidnap worth a social-media 'photo-graphic' comment. ![]() Fred/Shelbye became our two evil foils for Amlan and Esmerelda and darted to nail the two 'heroes' before they got to the Ion-estate in Phoenix (Az.), and meanwhile, Esmerelda was getting Ion drunk, dancing with him while he showcased his 'bloody-diamonds' as Amlan was using his acid-magic to burn a hole in his safe-box and swap his 'insured' treasures with the fakes they brought with them. He left the note, "Insured theater (Interpol-relation) requiring swift media-commentary about the market-IQ with the sports-trophy item left behind alongside the 'gift' gems in the safe, for all measure." ![]() BARON ION: We've got to post this sports-image 'insurance' comment (now). ASSOCIATE: They've matched you with circus-chess, bad-baron (no?). ION: Fred will find them if they're still around...and neutralize all (no?). ASSOCIATE: Good for social media. ![]() The two heroes left-behind their special 'sports-insurance' comment-prompting trophy/gift for Baron Ion in Arizona, a Sabatini (Argentina) pro-women's tennis spirits 'memoir' of the upstart-athlete's 'cool' defiance of invincible Graf (Germany) in the Homeland (1988/1990 US-Open finals), to leave that special 'vigilante' message that insurance-corruption mingled into overground capitalism-chess would (surely) require examinations/commentary/journal-writes for the quality of net-activity disasters (for the Ego). Now, Amlan and Esmerelda were planning their 'great-escape' to Belgium with their collected treasures/mementos. ![]() ESMERELDA: You were so cool with Fred/Shelbye, Amlan Satan. AMLAN: I know, but I don't know how they found us at that costume-party. ESMERELDA: They were road-skulkers; they find everything. AMLAN: Alright; well it was our 'pleasure' to facilitate their vanishing. ESMERELDA: Shelbye was Fred's antiheroine (ok). AMLAN: And you're my bread (ok). ESMERELDA: Good for social media. ![]() "Doing well is the result of doing good. That's what capitalism is all about" (Ralph Waldo Emerson). ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2023 Abishai100 |
