Homeland Bread

Homeland Bread

A Story by Abishai100
"

A pair of modern 'idealists' seek defense-adventure in the Homeland (America) for a mystical view of demons and pirates (for securities/food).

"
A Homeland adventure (modern) inspired (very loosely) by Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Thanks for reading!

Amlan and Raki were thinking of their newfound mission to track/hunt minions and ghouls of the post-9/11 era Homeland destabilizing commerce 'bridge' tames to secured globalism-rhetoric in their mod-age of 'inventions' in terrorism/piracy/paranoia (wow).

AMLAN: We've the 'image' motion(s) for spirit-strength in this Crusade (US).
RAKI: Excellence, pal; we'll reference beauty-magic for shields for Hell.
AMLAN: Let's reference Galatea, Aphrodite, Saraswati, and Cinderella.
RAKI: Innocence, lost youth, the image of frailty; our 'weaponry' for heaven.
AMLAN: I wonder what sorts of vampires/werewolves/sirens we'll encounter.
RAKI: What's the dare (for Earth) if there's no 'social media' light(s) for IQ?

Well, despite their outright idealism, these two mod-US super heroes (Amlan/Raki) decided their past-backgrounds in linguistics/surfing cast them for 'excellence' in traffic-communications bridge securities for a 'transit-consciousness' defense posture in this time of terrorism/piracy woe(s) for Homeland storyboards. This would be great for commentary (online), given the 'American' fondness of social-media culture comforts (e.g., Facebook!).

AMLAN: Look at this creature of Hell, hiding-out in this city-outskirts forest!
RAKI: It's not a werewolf, since it's not bipedal, but its large size is mystery.
AMLAN: I think it is a werewolf, but of a more beastly quality, on 4-legs.
RAKI: It needs a silver-bullet; this is the stuff of Stephen King, pal.

They shot the city-forest dwelling beast-specter, the 4-leg Wolfen animal, with their double-revolver handy-dandy set of silver-bullet loaded beauties (Amlan/Raki). This was high-art for all that was Homeland defense, and who'd doubt this new millennium of outright paranoia wouldn't be complemented by wandering 'destroyer-spirits' of dark lore and bad magic? Sure, this was Realism, but the US now had two 'friends' for the shield for hellmouths (ha).

AMLAN: I'm gonna win the first 'cyber-Pulitzer' for my adapted tale.
RAKI: Did you see that movie Hansel & Gretel: Witch-Hunters?

A new vile terrorist organization (Cobra) would confound matters (US) with a super-virus (Internet) disrupting all manner of cyber-banking/investment-storages, and Amlan/Raki were busy performing a Homeland 'examination' to determine if Cobra agents/minions were now 'chess-tied' with a new NYC vampire-clan called Lestat (bad reference to Anne Rice media).

AMLAN: Isn't Lestat host to a band of sirens (some coven)?
RAKI: I wonder if Lestat has claim to those mobile-phone scrambles on 9/11.
AMLAN: No, I think that was Al-Qaeda's invisible hand-work.
RAKI: Well, we might explore Lestat's 'interest' for post-9/11 cyber-matter.
AMLAN: Excellence (for deeds); and social media (photo-graphics!).

While traversing Buffalo for a football-exhibition securities matter for the holidays, Amlan/Raki met a gorgeous dame, a waitress of an inn (Tandy) who served them wonderful (Indian) luchi-bread with the comment, "American-served fortune(s) for adventurers seeking modern 'bread'."

AMLAN: Tandy is the best (American).
RAKI: Let's hope this luchi is not poisoned (eh?).
AMLAN: Our crusade is in swing; Americans (maybe) find rulers (for Tandy).

"Doing well is the result of doing good. That's what capitalism is all about" (Ralph Waldo Emerson).
