Lancelot/Lady: Getaway {B+}

Lancelot/Lady: Getaway {B+}

A Story by Abishai100
"

Two ancient-world spirits watch-over a pair of 'heroes' in New-Mexico for a treasure-hand in what'd become a 'social' bond (for darkness/education).

"
A 'hip' adaptation of the graphic/engaging 1994 remake of the iconic Peckinpah (1972) crime-psyche roadways misadventure The Getaway (Roger Donaldson), with a 'fresh' myth-spin, which I think you'll like (and thanks so much for reading),
DISCLAIMER: This work of fanfiction offers no ties to the referenced film(s) and is purely a 'personal' body expression (for 'open' philosophy!).

LANCELOT: Let's 'eye' this duet of vigilantism in New Mexico for diamond-IQ.
LADY-of-LAKE: Excellence, knight; this pair (Max/Shelbye) is acid-hell prone!
LANCELOT: Good for (21st-Century) social media, Lady?
LADY-of-LAKE: Seems there's 'space' for our memoir of Medieval chemistry!

Well, Lancelot, the complications 'rich' sword-knight of Medieval England, was a spirit (specter-ghost) now alongside his guardian-spirit of counsel, the mystical ('faerie') known as the Lady of the Lake in a special (21st Century) Homeland (New Mexico) misadventure 'account' for Western/American fortune 'readings' concerning the quality of theater/vanities for capitalism-race 'chess' and blood-diamond hyperbole (for Earth-traffic superstitions). Would Lancelot and the Lady find some 'cool' social media worth 'magic' in their focus on a roadway(s) fantasy-game linked with 'darkness' of a photo-graphic brand (for all)?

BARON ION: This pair of 'hero-merchants' (Max/Shelbye) propose to visit me in my New-Mexico domain and make a 'wage' for gem-showcase and sport-trophy item 'exchange' for joint-venture in social media landscape insurance deeds, but I want to test their mettle before they arrive, to see if they're 'average' geeks, so I've deployed my evil minion (Fred) to 'secure' the prestige of this encounter, be it betrayal of fool's gold, Lex.
LEX (Associate): Excellence, bad-baron; I can 'spike' your estate-value (now).
BARON ION: This is the inclination-inflation Max and Shelbye proposed (ok).
LEX: Let's see what/how Fred makes for capitalism's photo-hospitality, Ion.
BARON ION: Chance.

MAX: Alright, I storm into the Santa-Fe stylized gem-place and make swap(s).
SHELBYE: You're claiming you're sent by a rival of Ion's (in bread/mustache).
MAX: Very fun vigilantism; when we get to Ion's place, there'll be gossip-IQ.
SHELBYE: Like, "What's this street-chat(s) about Ion-company gem-motion?"
MAX: That's when/why we appear with our sports-trophy 'distraction' for Ion.
SHELBYE: Good for capitalism-race photo-graphics.
MAX: And (hopefully) a 'cool' chess-stalemate.

LANCELOT: Max is an idealist, perhaps even a Utopian thinker (ex-lawyer).
LADY-of-LAKE: Shelbye reminds me of a cartoon-princess, a waitress (ok).
LANCELOT: If they're to escape the claw(s) of Ion-company, they must fly!
LADY-of-LAKE: Darkness; there's 'space' for terrorism in American cartoons.
LANCELOT: I almost feel like I should 'intercede' with some aid/aides.
LADY-of-LAKE: Perhaps you'd post online about this 'deed' for insurance?
LANCDELOT: Might help them...I doubt they've valued the IQ of Fred.
LADY-of-LAKE: Lest they become 'cartoon' stat.

So, Max/Shelbye achieved the gem-store deed (Santa-Fe) and darted to the Ion-estate to make the sport-trophy exchange-value with the bad-baron or (rumored/insured) blood-diamond cabinets and were intercepted (somehow) by the stalking minion sent by the Ion-company (Fred) to 'test' their mettle for sophistication(s) in New Mexico.

LANCELOT: If Max escapes, you'll ease your pace of motion(s), Fred.
FRED: It's a dare worth the examination(s), stranger; I like train imagery.
LANCELOT: Good for social media?

Well, Max did indeed shield Shelbye from that evil-one (Fred) and when the minion tried to shoot Max in the arm, Max used his concealed/kept acid-gun (from his gem-store swap/lift) to fire at Fred's feet, forcing the assassin to crawl-away and out of the metro-area and into a vet-center where he'd been treaded by an (unhappily) married-couple (Teddy/Sheila).

FRED: Thanx for the cure(s), Sheila; I'm gonna bloody-murder your man!
TEDDY: What's this?
SHEILA: Oh, I've always wanted to become a 'bad-guy' chick, leave medicine.
TEDDY: What's this?
FRED: Sounds as if Sheila's been itching to become a cyber-model of Hell.
TEDDY: Damn (bad for God).

LANCELOT: Poor, poor Teddy, Lady.
LADY-of-LAKE: Fred killed him, stole-away Sheila, and seeks vengeance.
LANCELOT: I 'persuaded' him to give Max/Shelbye space for success.
LADY-of-LAKE: We mustn't intercede further, for Fred's show's personal!
LANCELOT: Still cheering for Max (and his 'masked' camera-works).
LADY-of-LAKE: Damn (good for capitalism?).

Well, Max/Shelbye once-more escaped from the claw-of-Fred and Shelbye shot the reborn-evil Sheila (in the heart) before getting to Ion's estate and making the gem-swap with Ion drunk (by Shelbye ironically) in his safe-room and leaving-behind that 'promised' sports-media 'trophy' item, a Sabatini (Argentina) pro-women's tennis spirits 'youth-fanzine' oriented memoir of the upstart-athlete's 'cool-defiance' of the invincible Graf (Germany) in the 1988/1990 US-Open finals (for co-commentary online!).

ION: What's to do besides make the draw for stalemate with insurance-proofs?
ASSOCIATE: These two were great; we'd not repeat the same errs.
LANCELOT: What a great trophy for memory (Sabatini-US Open tennis)!
LADY-of-LAKE: If Max had failed, this'd be another 'stat' for social evil(s).
LANCELOT: You can't fail...when 'materialism' is at stake (ok).

JOURNAL (Max): "What we'd learnt from Santa-Fe 'darkness' was the Romanticism stalemated with 'wrought' vanities in this mod-Homeland of distance to God...but perhaps for the sake of a lady's Great Depression (and privacy)."

"Capitalism is the astounding belief that the most wickedest of men will do the most wickedest of things for the greatest good of everyone" (John Maynard Keynes).
