Speed-Watch*

A Story by Abishai100
"

A time-piece about Homeland patriotism for Xmas, requiring a (special) view for what's (American) lettering.

"
A holiday-travel yarn, very-loosely inspired by Speed (Keanu Reeves).

Amlan wouldn't be denied his excellent Xmas-vacation during which he'd carry his special Alien sci-fi/horror franchise toy-figure of a Xenomorph dragon-alien home to his darling-son (Damian) and think about his travel-companions for his bus-trip (Peter Pan bus) in New England whom he'd met at the Courtyard (hotel) while on a conference about science-fiction screenplays for Marvel Comics.

AMLAN: Damian's gonna love this alien action-doll, friends.
MARCUS: Hey thanks much for inviting us-3 to home of yours.
EZZY: Ya, there's little American hospitality-reading for holidays, no?
DANICA: We right business-personnel to befriend for Xmas-invite(s).
AMLAN: You sure are, and you need not be 'American' to feel at home (now).
MARCUS: Social media culture (wow).

Well, unfortunately, this trip-home wouldn't be normal/convenient for Amlan the media-man and his newly-acquired friends at the Courtyard during the sci-fi conference (Marcus/Ezzy/Danica) aboard the Peter-Pan, for a stranger was alongside with them. This stranger character, a man who went by the name Dartmouth, thought to 'catch' some Xmas-season traffic for a Homeland message reflection of 9/11 itself (wow).

DARTMOUTH: Wow, you folks on Peter Pan are like so American, lovely to see.
AMLAN: Hey sit down and shut-up, loud-mouth; can't you see we're seeking quiet(s)?
DARTMOUTH: Very angry traveling salesman is this Amlan-fellow, ok.
AMLAN: How'd you know my name, loud-mouth?
DARTMOUTH: Name-tag, good-fellow, Amlan.
AMLAN: Damn, it's still on my jacket (ha).
DARTMOUTH: Thanx.

Well, Dartmouth was enraged by the words of the Peter Pan traveler and swiftly put-on his Scarecrow mask and rose again, this time revealing the explosive device he assembled (from parts!) while in his seat and revealed the 'source-code' of his mad inspiration, a Stafford (Rams) football-spirits card/trophy item, which he claimed put Super Bowl vanities in the Homeland ahead of academic life, and he now vowed to use Peter Pan as a 'symbol' of social-media bureaucracy (hmm).

According to reports, it was Amlan who wrestled Dartmouth to the ground of the Peter-Pan, but it was Marcus/Ezzy/Danica who kept him seated following disorientation and served as a passenger-med crew for the remainder of the trip to the police-station before the bus was restored to this holiday-season travel-course, on what became a 'legend' in American transit-superstition transcripts, perhaps worth social-media/screenplay fanfare!

INTERVIEW: You got home and got your Alien doll to your son (Damian)?
AMLAN: With excellence, for relief(s); this was post-9/11 era Homeland mad-IQ.
INTERVIEW: Seems you'd become an unexpected hero, Amlan!
AMLAN: With excellence, for relief(s); America's the 'thing' of dreams/chess.
INTERVIEW: Good (for social media).

ESMERELDA (Wife): Olive-Garden makes the best Xmas-platter pasta(s).
AMLAN: Glad we made it home (so enjoy!).
MARCUS: What a thrill, 1st-time (America).
EZZY: Pasta good for soul, Xmas-treat for a Homeland burn, Amlan (thanx).
DANICA: You've lovely home here in America, Esmerelda (lucky!).
AMLAN: I'm the reason she's lucky (good for social media).

Well, the Courtyard (New England) where that bus-trip began, for that sci-fi conference quartet (Amlan/Marcus/Ezzy/Danica) was relieved there'd been no 'chess-stalemate' tie between Peter Pan and that residency building and were thrilled to cast one of their guests (Amlan) as a social-media photo-graphics hero (and celebrity!).

ESMERELDA: I got you this basketball-chess toy.
AMLAN: Wow...since I've been a hero?
ESMERELDA: You'd love this moment of patience-reward, darling.
AMLAN: Well, seems sportsmanship in the Homeland yields (special) dates.
