Redwood: Spring-heeled Jack

Two idealists investigate a (likely) movie/media-world forest-prank and may discover a 'stranger' magic for Earthling-secrets (in leviathan).

Amlan and Raki were Dartmouth-company versed in the old-London street-terror lore of the impish-devil 'creature-man' known as Spring-heeled Jack when surfaced reports of a sighting from a 21st-Century horror-film series (Jeepers Creepers) 'avatar' surfaced in the Redwoods (California-Homeland).

AMLAN: This makes for stranger examinations in social-media for writers/artists.

RAKI: Spring-heeled Jack was considered a world-phenomenon of superstition(s).

AMLAN: A conglomerate of superstitions in old-London street-fare/traffic, Raki!

RAKI: This intimates some seriousness for claims of horror-film avatar sightings.

AMLAN: If Spring-heeled Jack reincarnates as a 'media-age' imp, it's conceivable.

RAKI: Otherwise, it sounds like media/movie hype-tripe (trash) for Facebook.

Amlan/Raki studied cryptozoology and were fascinated by characterization of Spring-heeled Jack as an impish 'devil' or perhaps bat-like mutant-man, like the Jersey Devil, who some claimed was Satan (the Devil!) lurking around Earth as a 'terrorist' messenger of street-superstitions amalgamations (prank). Well, many took that old-London lore quite seriously, and for Amlan/Raki, new-residents of California (Homeland), a 'serious bureaucracy-reading' of Redwood (forest) sightings/claims of encounters with the Jeepers Creepers horror-film series protagonist-monster avatar known as the Creeper would only be 'legitimized' with a thorough exploration of Spring-heeled Jack symbolism of 'inventions' in superstition-balls for general-populous intrigue/interest in monsters and freaks (wow).

AMLAN: There's all those Loch Ness and Roswell hoax-tales; now movies.

RAKI: What if Spring-heeled Jack is the Devil and now casts this 'Creeper' prank?

AMLAN: I didn't peg you as a Christian-mythos mystic, Dartmouth-company pal.

RAKI: Well, let's say I'm fascinated by the art(s) of inventive human-world fears.

AMLAN: Alright; yeah, if the Devil wishes to make Redwood-jokes (horror-films).

RAKI: We go to the Redwoods, with flare-light, for a 'Devil's Advocate' story-IQ.

AMLAN: Sounds promising (for photo-graphics in 'Frankenstein/Wolfman' chess). 

So off they went to the Redwoods (California-Homeland), by night, two Dartmouth-company best-friends, in search of validity of these Jeepers Creepers horror-film series 'avatar' (Creeper) sightings tied with camper-vanishings and multiple decapitations. Was this (simply/likely) a village-made 'hoax' to poke-fun at movies and horror-art? Raki insisted if the Creeper was (somehow/miraculously) 'real' and a spotted 'terrorist' of the Homeland, it was a reincarnation of a (quite-real) Spring-heeled Jack, a messenger of superstition-balls or 'hodge-podge paranoia' and perhaps some 'manifestation-image' of the Christian Devil, with a pure message of terrain/environment fog/light.

Amlan and Raki discovered that a nearby (Cali) artist was making collections of 'bloody-murder paintings' for records of superstition-storyboard 'study' to tie-in to these Redwood-Creeper sightings/claims. Amlan/Raki thought (deeply now) that this snowballed superstition 'mess' in the Homeland was somehow a sure-sign that Spring-heeled Jack was reborn, with a sure-sign of inventive Earthling social media paranoia (for 'terrorism').

CREEPER: Good to greet you in the Redwoods, heroes.

AMLAN/RAKI: You're real, Creeper!

CREEPER: You wagered I was some fool/prankster in costume with movie-humor.

AMLAN/RAKI: We thought it was some 'cult-prank' activity or Spring-heeled Jack!

CREEPER: You know of Spring-heeled Jack, heroes?

AMLAN/RAKI: We hoisted a theory that 'old-London Jack' was the Devil's theater.

CREEPER: Christian?

AMLAN/RAKI: We're both Catholic; but we entertained a 'Devil-prank' hunch (IQ).

CREEPER: Metaphysics in social media and superstitions hyperbole hypotheses?

AMLAN/RAKI: Why not...for movie/media life pranks abound in terrorism-times.

CREEPER: What if I'm the Devil (again), appearing as Spring-heeled Jack (again)?

AMLAN/RAKI: Goodness, that's not inconceivable, Creeper, but why?
CREEPER: Perhaps as in old-London, this terrorism-age is full of disbelief/fears.

AMLAN/RAKI: Spring-heeled Jack had a more affable demeanor, surely, Creeper.

CREEPER: You're armed with flare-lights/guns, eh?

AMLAN/RAKI: We're really frightened, here.

CREEPER: Take a shot, heroes; aim at my wings to ground me; don't miss.

AMLAN/RAKI: This is surely not Facebook-chowder, Creeper (wow).

CREEPER: Don't miss, heroes.

They didn't miss. Creeper sneered after seeing his wings hit right on-target and up in flare-flammable flames and was infuriated, since his bat-wings had an oil-texture (damn). Creeper self-exiled himself to the deep-ocean abyss but not before he explained to the two curious explorers in the Redwoods that he was indeed the Devil and indeed Spring-heeled Jack with a special/specific message comparable to the one he delivered in old-London --- one of 'incomplete-distances' to night-vision light for conscious focused human-world meditation on the tangible accessibility of (raw) superstitious fears (of terrorism!).

INTERVIEW (Cyber_Fanzine): Your 'claim' concerns some test of reincarnation IQ.

AMLAN/RAKI: We're only making a storyboard about metaphysics/superstitions.

INTERVIEW: You remain unclear if the Creeper was real, heroes.

AMLAN/RAKI: We maintain a 'consistency' between him and Spring-heeled Jack.

INTERVIEW: 'Sportsmanship' in social media circulation(s) for inventive hype, eh?

AMLAN/RAKI: Well, we maintain a night-crystal view of lore-interest for life.

INTERVIEW: You say the Creeper vanished (for bureaucracy-readings)?

AMLAN/RAKI: Perhaps as 'heretically' as Spring-heeled Jack (wow).

INTERVIEW: Can't help but sense you've got a (deeper) secret (to hide).

AMLAN/RAKI: Well, perhaps so did those 'foggy' witnesses of Spring-heeled Jack!

INTERVIEW: Did your religious faith spice?

AMLAN/RAKI: Nah, we've always been Catholic 'receivers' and comic-fans.
