Amlan and Marcus had become fast-friends and marshals of their fun cyber-chess society (NewPorcellian) in New England while investing in some sportsmanship 'matrix' icons and toys and treasures in the post-9/11 era Homeland (America) and were about to be challenged by the presence and adversarial 'language-arts' of a dark-side messenger from 19th-Century London (UK).

AMLAN: I didn't know Spring-heeled Jack was real; thought it was myth-IQ.

MARCUS: Well, maybe he's the Devil in disguise; reincarnated for mod-chess?

AMLAN: He maybe finds 'interest' in our social media 'culture' investment(s), pal.

MARCUS: Why's he so interested in our Cali-Bowl QB card (Matt Stafford)?

AMLAN: Perchance he finds us 'cross-section' reps of social media traffic/chess.

MARCUS: Weird...we've no choice now but to 'rep' this bureaucracy-reading.

AMLAN: Maybe there's some distance 'bread' in it (for us).

Yes, Amlan/Marcus shrewdly pronounced their hypotheses on why Spring-heeled Jack would be reborn to create a life/culture interest negotiation or 'challenge' for the two 'princes' of Homeland/Western bureaucracy-readings and American way. Being Ivy-grads, they were quite resourced/knowledgeable about the shapes and materials of antiterrorism intelligence/chess (for the Ego).

SPRING-HEELED JACK ('Jack'): It's your Matt Stafford Super Bowl memoir I like!

AMLAN/MARCUS: Why the Rams-QB note for Bowl-trumpet (following trade?)?

JACK: Yea, Stafford began his career in the Thanksgiving-city of Detroit (no?).

AMLAN/MARCUS: A good 'diplomat' of sportsmanship-investment/interest (USA).

JACK: He won the Super Bowl and defeated a hot-defiant Bengals (Cincinnati).

AMLAN/MARCUS: You know your Western football field goal stats, Jack (so?).

JACK: Do you think you deserve to keep such a treasure (for arts)?

AMLAN/MARCUS: Hmmm (weird).

Amlan/Marcus reacted to this 'language-claim' challenge posed by this eerie Spring-heeled Jack who was reborn and sought to interrogate them for their princely social media 'culture' status (ID). Did they deserve that 'slick' Cali-Bowl trophy-item (the Stafford-Rams QB card)? Amlan/Marcus stated in simple-terms their interest/claim to the 'treasure' lay in their (shared) education and activity with sportsmanship/competition 'consciousness' in the cyber-highway(s) and equal 'passion' for hospitality-readings facilitating the scope/magic of the human formula (hmmm). Spring-heeled Jack simply wanted to disorient them, to have them think somewhat 'instantly' about why culture totems and 'marks' make for a stern responsibility 'superstition' even in the realm of games (hmmm).

SPRING-HEELED JACK: Seems the two gents are 'armed' with Earthling-courtesy.
