When the heroic Shadow discovered that the villainous Toyman was behind a sideshow terror-deed on 9/11, when terrorists crashed hijacked passenger-planes into the world-commerce symbolic Twin-Towers of NYC in the Homeland, a scheme involving horrid scramblings of emails/smartphone signals and mobile carrier net-transmission clouds, he realized the entire horror-show had somehow become a social-media 'expression' of antisocial humor for the super-villain of Earth who employed toys/gadgets to create the imprint of 'accessible' mischief for transit-devastation.

SHADOW: You won't escape this fleshy art of bureaucracy-paranoia, Toyman.

TOYMAN: Don't count your eggs like treasures too soon; capitalism's my art!

SHADOW: I shall offer a New York cyber-face for inventive personality-bread.

TOYMAN: You won't look like anything but a masked 'idealist' for Halloween!

SHADOW: Don't count your toys like ledgers; consumerism's my cap.

TOYMAN: Bureaucracy-readings...for the Ego (damn).

Well, the theater 'stage' was in-motion for this showcase contest of wills/ingenuity/courage between the villainous Toyman and the heroics masked-vigilante good-fellow Shadow; the Homeland was about to get 'wind' with toys/science for a crystal image of the quality of capitalism's (special) bureaucracy-photons (if only for a 'spell' in Earthling phrase!).
