Our Homeland quartet of exorcist-vigilante heroes, calling themselves the 'Reliables' (for Earth-transit and culture structure dependability defenses!), Amlan and Marcus, and Ezzy and Danica, darted to the Cali-Homeland forest for a 'Redwood-tree' claim investigating sightings of this eerie zombie-specter named 'Creeper' (with axes-hands for terrorist-like hellmouth for bad tourism imagery). Amlan felt he was (somehow) Spring-heeled Jack (19th-Century London street-imp/devil of terrorism 'paranoia') reborn for a transit worry. The agenda was clear for Creeper-Jack, terror and disorientation for bureaucracy-readings failures and outright criminal violence for a corruption of Eden's image (or the Ego).

CREEPER: You ground me with flare-shot to my wings in flight (Redwood-tree)?

RELIABLES: We know you're Spring-heeled Jack reborn; we've Earthling-stands!

CREEPER: Proceed, heroes.

RELIABLES: Like that London-Jack of old, you make for transit-paranoia?

CREEPER: You talk as if you're maestros of Earthling-traffic structure-IQ.

RELIABLES: We've the vigilante-exorcist stands for transit-acknowledgements.

CREEPER: Proceed, heroes (for a bureaucracy-reading).

CREEPER: What's this, a Joe Montana football-QB token trophy for sports-IQ?

RELIABLES: A nod to the structure of Earthling activity, for media-windows.

CREEPER: What's it?
RELIABLES: A reference for Bowl-'23, yielding a stalemate of style-diligence.

CREEPER: I know it...Montana late-game heroics for structure (hot Bengals).

RELIABLES: Liar-paradox, Creeper-Jack..."Every statement is incomplete."

CREEPER: Language-communications intelligence for competency-deeds.

RELIABLES: Certainly worth a structure-reading in 'academic' pidgins, devil.

CREEPER: Damn (bureaucracy-reading).

RELIABLES: Why don't you self-exile (deep-ocean abyss) as a (private) shadow?

CREEPER: Fine!

Wow, what a statement-expression the Reliables (Amlan/Marcus/Ezzy/Danica) had made in this Redwood-tree 'examination' for the Creeper (Spring-heeled Jack?) for an educational view for Homeland defenses, pairing flare-gun precision (for grounding/humility) with Earthling-culture media/lifestyle chess-expression (for challenge/microfiche). Perhaps what we'll learn from Amlan's adapted novel (Redwood-Leaves) is the quality of incomplete-distances to transit-confidence...for Earth's dry-excellence (sure).
