He thought about his wonderful Miami apartment he shared with his wealthy parents and why he never (ever!) wanted to bring-home his girlfriend (Esmerelda) to meet/greet his alienist-father (Emit) who suffered (deeply!) from alcoholism. Amlan had a college-degree, friends on social-media, a gorgeous lady-friend (Esmerelda), a mom who loved cooking for him, and a collection of wonderful American football (sports) cards he used to generate superstitions-sportsmanship-tales online while enjoying the amenity of living-rich and not having to work. He even made Orange-State tourism image/photo albums for social-media/Selfie-life culture in the West (wow). ![]() "I was parked at my girlfriend's house, and I stared into her home-windows and daydreamed I'd escape from the Hellmouth of my own Orange-State apartment I shared with my yuppie-parents one Saturday AM in the American Homeland" (Amlan Satan, Journal). ![]() EZZY (Girlfriend): All you have is your journal-language for religion. AMLAN: Right said, Esmerelda; all I have is auto-focus transcendence (wow). EZZY: Let me relax you, Amlan Satan (now). AMLAN: What I need is to borrow your car, for a Saturday evening drive (mind). EZZY: You sound like an exorcist or something. AMLAN: Maybe I am...too much Turgenev (from college) on the brain. EZZY: Auto-focus (wow). ![]() Amlan made himself a nice world-exchange 'reflection' culinary-treat soft/zesty (Indian) luchi-bread thanksgiving-diner plate and recounted what was made for 'discovery' in his deep-thought engagement with the Hellmouth at home, and he wondered if Ezzy would save her from a darker hospitality-reading for Earthling-lines of 'dodecahedrons' that would draw (even) Martian envy. ![]() DEMON: You can hear me, prince. AMLAN SATAN: Yes, I can hear you, devil. DEMON: You understand the Age of Reason. AMLAN SATAN: Yes, I'm an educated American (sure)! DEMON: Do you know the manner of my visitation/examination (here/now)? AMLAN SATAN: Yes, I conceive your 'examination' concerns my faith/tests. DEMON: It's your homelife in the Homeland for hell's kitchens, sonny. AMLAN SATAN: Yes, I'm pensive about endurance of struggle(s). DEMON: Fan of books and folklore and football, eh? AMLAN SATAN: Yes, I'm guessing you want me to adapt my mind for a tale. DEMON: Something chess-tying your American culture/sports for optimism? AMLAN SATAN: Yes, I'm qualified and conditions-placed for such a test. DEMON: Consider the value of the write-up as a reflection of Heaven. AMLAN SATAN: Yes, I guess if writing eases the mind, I'm a diplomat/artist. DEMON: Good for social-media/Selfie-commentary culture for lines, ok? AMLAN SATAN: Yes, you wish me to adapt language-arts for dodecahedrons. DEMON: Good for the humility...and the dialysis, prince. AMLAN SATAN: Yes, I can concur such an 'examination' yields bread/fruit. DEMON: Take care not to dilute...for bureaucracy's art. AMLAN SATAN: Facebook-like. DEMON: Should you fail to ease your mind, you may unravel your fortune. AMLAN SATAN: I may betray Ezzy (ok). DEMON: That's your test...one of incomplete-lines to death (ha). AMLAN SATAN: Yes, I mustn't decline the honor...or death. DEMON: Farewell, prince. AMLAN SATAN: Facebook-like (farewell). ![]() "Doing well is the result of doing good.
