Gambit wanted some cool application of his training/education at the Institute of gifted mutants for patriot-behavior, with classes taught by his great psychic mentor Professor X who believed the super powers exhibited by his recruited mutants from around Earth would harness super-human gifts of magic and agility to defend the helpless (wow). This was Facebook-like.

PROFESSOR X: This capitalism Earth in the American Homeland is life-image.

GAMBIT: That's why you fear for Super Bowl TV-ad culture and revenue Hell?

PROFESSOR X: Since 9/11, there's a pseudo-invasion paranoia here, Gambit.

GAMBIT: The card-image of fortune mezzanines for capitalism is cool, no?

PROFESSOR X: Well, we remain wary of the evil Magneto and his evil drones.

GAMBIT: Yes, Magneto's recruited evil mutants have powers like ours, sir!

PROFESSOR X: It's vital for you to be stationed as consumer/media soldier.

GAMBIT: Thanx, Professor X (Facebook-like).

MAGNETO: Well, our Super Bowl invasion marks us as Hell's legion now, girl.

MYSTIQUE: I'll shape-shift to appear as a TV-network security personnel.

MAGNETO: Scramble the TV-net computer broadcast signals system, girl.

MYSTIQUE: Me wonders what that Professor's hero (Gambit) will do for game.

MAGNETO: Who cares (Selfie-like)?

Well, Gambit was at the Super Bowl making fencing-arts for an 'environment' that'd become a pronounced American Homeland sportsmanship-culture window for capitalism reflection; and when a precociously-curious TV-network monitor-engineer noticed a security personnel woman who looked somewhat suspect, he decided to ring Gambit's handy smartphone and suggest there'd be some evil-mutant appearance to interfere with the Super Bowl ad jardiniere (e.g. Ion-company diamonds plate stuff for athletes' wives!). Gambit knew he found an insider-buddy who'd help him uncoil a deadly game jellyfish painted by Magneto (Selfie-like!).
