Baseball/Diamonds: Cities Two

Baseball/Diamonds: Cities Two

A Story by Abishai100

Portrait of what makes sports (baseball) a 'thing' of incomplete-distances readings to the leviathan/uncertainty of Earthling jukeboxes (for all).

"
An American baseball (fan) portrait (fiction). Thanks so much for reading,

My name's Amlan Satan, and I considered my sports cards collection quite the rich image for Earthling/American superstitions for fanfare and ambitions and towns/teams cheers for that great iconic bat-and-ball and base-running/fielding diamond game of baseball, surely inspiration for may writers and obviously film-crafters (Facebook-like!).

I decided to cast two of my special treasures on a cyber-mosaic, for re-presentation of two-cities for great sports (American baseball!) languages, one from the Windy-City and one from the City of Brotherly Love (wow). The Chicago Cubs card, of Mark Grace, was image for great '90s baseball feelings of city-spirits and yearnings for titles and TV-memoirs for the Ego (damn).

The other treasure, from the City of Brotherly Love, is of the great Series-title winning star and soft-spoken great Phillies batsman, Mike Schmidt, who imprinted onto TV-fans and Philly-residents great strides feelings of what made/makes this (American!) diamonds-and-bats game of simplified (democratic!) jardinieres (for leviathan/uncertainty).

GIRLFRIEND: Bias.
ME: Who...what?
GIRLFRIEND: You're partial to Philadelphia (you know).
ME: That's where we met, love...Penn's Landing (you know).
GIRLFRIEND: Oh, you cheered for them Cubs when Kerry Wood pitched, no?
ME: You're correct-o.
GIRLFRIEND: You escalate your Schmidt card, I know (I read).
ME: You read my darn blog, Ezzy?
GIRLFRIEND: Baseball's about limiting that male bias, no?
ME: I'll look...we'll marry, have son, get video-game...I'll teach him 2-city IQ.
GIRLFRIEND: That's jellyfish (Facebook-like).
ME: Of course, my queen (ha).
GIRLFRIEND: Baseball's about humility....jagged edges (Selfie-like).
