A Card for Juxtaposition: American JigsawA Story by Abishai100American teacher presents his Homeland-portrait of the composition of sports (football) trading-card jewel magic for things of social jars of journeymen.
An NFL trading-card vignette/fiction. Happy Summer,
DISCLAIMER: This work of sports fiction offers no ties to any representative person(s)/body (e.g., LA Rams) and is cast as purely a 'personal' expression for social art (for 'open' views/translations). ---- ==== There I was living at my social house at my alma-mater as a cyber-homeschooling teacher, returned to the New England area for incomplete-arts of sportsmanship-culture storytelling seeking a very-special mod-civilization (20th-Century) American football trading-card for superstition re-presentation for the Ego/doubt. ![]() My name's Amlan Satan, and I'm a Slovak-Algerian Bostonian-Catholic and immigrant/citizen/patriot/writer; and I'd found a special NFL-card for 20th-Century Eagles (Philadelphia) fanfare for my Selfie age of lifestyle linked social activity commentary for language/jellyfish (ha). ![]() "My dad always told me that the harder you work, the harder it is to surrender" (Roman Gabriel, Eagles-QB). ![]() I decided to complement my Gabriel-cheer card (Eagles) story with a youth-crayons doodle for a jar of social/field activity that invoked ideas about vitality and energy and fitness and competitiveness for fanfare memory (ok). In my story, I wrote, "The young man found the Gabriel card on the ground, discarded in his cul-de-sac shortly after his neighbor had moved to Cali; and he started thinking the card was changing his fortunes...and mind; and so the young man made a crayon-doodle of what made this (American) sport of cleats/helmets and offense-superstition a 'cool' thing of jellyfish for the Ego and uncertainty." I knew the story was special, for education/culture, because I knew the card was special. Gabriel was the '69 season MVP after all, and such a card would invoke a modern ('25-NFL season) cheer for the crayon-consciousness of things like a half-perfect jovial LA-Rams jukebox. ![]() "Doing well is the result of doing good.
