"I decided to make a special thought-memoir for an older-gen of spirits of that great game of bat-and-field and diamonds for pitching and offense and home runs and songs and ball-park hot dogs worth a weight in Earthling lyrics. Baseball had become a special magic of things of Summer comfort and Autumn magic post-Spring opener feelings of great American culture languages for stories. Well, my presentation of thought-memoir concerned a yesteryear nod to wartime baseball, when American men were sent to a field of Earth torn by horrors of arms, while American women were recruited as sideshow medicine for a time when the men on diamond-fields were not to return possibly because of the costs of fighting/Hell. This became my Selfie-culture quarter."

"Sure, we watch the men on the field of the diamond-game grace the sport of great American/democratic motion for stories; sure, women in today's comparable diamond-field activity are limited to the albeit wonderful game of softball, celebrated much and greatly at the collegiate level in the West. Well, wartime baseball was interruption to be sure, and the women who were 'drafted' to serve as a substitution for needed therapy for the cost of war had become special 'angels-in-the-outfield' for (all) things of quarters (Facebook-like)."

"Sure, we celebrate the modern West's embrace of things of hot dogs and confetti graced on TV for women mostly in the visualized form of American football cheerleaders making the more gritty and touch-tough tackle game a cool Sunday-TV experience of wings and commentary. However, that wartime era that saw American women 'drafted' into a complete women's league of baseball for medicinal social sportsmanship activity to get the West through that horror-time made for quite a shadow-magic of (all) things of quarters. That's why I, a male sports-writer and fan of that great diamond game, wanted a special silhouette-kinesthesia of why those 'Diamond Girls' were simply...Selfie-keratin (superstition!)."

"Well, the West had seen much intrigue for Heaven/Hell, and this culminated in traumas too, like 9/11 (terrorist-crash into NYC's skyline). I thought about those 'Diamond Girls' of yesteryear-wartime and what they revealed to the entire Earth records of (all) things quarters and maps (ok!). I thought about why/how they added adjectives to English for a very-special hostel-line of sports, competitiveness, peace, and cleats for women (a premonition of TV-culture explosion!). I decided while writing all this that the 'Diamond Girls' were arguably as magical to American legends as wartime-nurses for miracles/wind. My wife told me I was finding an ironic turn of keep as a male sports-writer (Facebook-like). She's right."

"Doing well is the result of doing good. That's what capitalism is all about" (Ralph Waldo Emerson).
