DETECTIVE SATAN: Here I was thinkin' just hockey-coaching was my destiny, chief.

POLICE-CHIEF: You're a 'cool' Slovak-Algerian Catholic-American cop-detective now.

SATAN: Well, I'd been a fan of Miroslav Satan, pro-hockey athlete for cards/tales.

CHIEF: You can now evaluate that Cook's Tale (Chaucer) for these gang-crimes!

SATAN: This 'Davy-Jones' gang in our darkened city cites gluttony/revelry for Hell?

CHIEF: That's why I sent you that Chaucer tutorial, to contend with 'pirate' art, ok.

SATAN: I feel like a shirt-and-tie American folk-character in a 7-Sins campfire, sir!

CHIEF: That's just not incomplete-truth here, Mr. Satan (Facebook-like).

SATAN: What the hell does Davy Jones shipwreck-sailors songs tie with Chaucer?

CHIEF: Consumption, Satan...city's know-good for things onside (masks/belly).

SATAN: Mischief meets calculated anarchy, sir (ok!)...Selfie-like.

Detective Amlan Satan took on a hideous case in his American Homeland city as a wily-wise cop-sleuth dissecting a string of new bloody-murders tied to a gang of invaders calling themselves the Davy-Jones Tribe ('DJT') and operating as a men/women composed 'force' of chaos for the 21st-Century. The DJT 'deeds' included raids of jewelry-stores after-hours, graffiti inside church-buildings, and of course, cop-deaths. Some of the male members of the gang pranced around like aliens in pirate-costumes with sabers and 'classic' pistols and some of the female members posed as shoppers and took random hostages inside buildings pre-murders and/or disorienting swaps of store-items of high value (damn). Detective Amlan Satan wondered why the DJT gang criminals (sometimes) left-behind notes about consumer-foods and the revelry of Burger King and Pizza Hut for inspiration to make 'food-fight' of the Devil's order (Facebook-like!).

The DJT (Davy-Jones Tribe) was nothing of anything ordinary and Detective Satan believed it was seedier and uglier than anything seen during the reign of the Manson Family (Helter-Skelter) during the 20th-Century (e.g., Sharon Tate murders) and continued to analyze the symbolism of The Cook's Tale (Chaucer) to find clues about the pirate-ethos oriented city-gang of Hell or its next-move and wondered about a note his station received from a female member who claimed she knew something 'insider' about a very-special Super Bowl trophy reflection American sports (football!) trading-card (Los Angeles). What did Chaucer have to do with pirate-ethos for this Inferno?

WIFE: You look like a 'manhunter' from an Upton Sinclair or Dreiser type book.

DETECTIVE SATAN: I feel like one, wife (ha).

WIFE: Watch out for Davy-Jones pirate stuff; if they mock consumerism, it's icons.

DETECTIVE SATAN: Maybe that's the link between Chaucer and pirates...icons!

WIFE: What do you mean?
DETECTIVE SATAN: Maybe crime-gang wants face-shirt imagery for funny-mirrors.

WIFE: Is that why that lady-member sent your station a note about the NFL?

DETECTIVE SATAN: That's a guess, wife...maybe this is Facebook-like (for glass!).

WIFE: Weird (Selfie-like)...good luck, Mister Satan.

Mister Satan was right. The DJT (Davy-Jones Tribe) did seek 'deeds' for funny-mirrors image to link Chaucer-piracy 'ethos' of urbanization vertigo Amlan's wife found good-reason to inference the work of Sinclair/Dreiser (for campfires, ok). Amlan deduced sharply/delightfully that the 'Rationalism' behind why the lady-member of the DJT sent his station an NFL-card allusion parody concerned a sort of 'iconography' for things of flying and mobility and a sort of anti-romance for mischief. He shrewdly lured this lady-member to an alley with a cyber-blog 'dare' in which he used a bird-masked ethereal heroine stick-figure color-doodle his wife (a homeschool-teacher online) drew to claim the DJT had a preoccupation with things of anti-romance helmets. The lady-member was dared-by-pride (ok) and consented to meet Detective Satan in the city-alley of (secret) mark for a 'chat-hyperbole' about criminal-insanity...where he procured confession of the gang's secret warehouse lair, leading to a mass-arrest and one of the greatest resolutions of modern American crime-stories theses (Facebook-like!).
