Cyrano, Part 2 (Adaptation)A Story by Abishai100Fun modern-adaptation of the Edmond Rostand classic literature-work of things alienation, confidence, romance, secrets, friendship, wagers, and letters of quarks.
Cyrano de Bergerac (Rostand) adaptation-invention (3-part) for your 1st-weekend Sunday of '26. Thanks for reading (stay safe/warm),
---- ==== CYRANO: You know I know I consider my Selfie-self quite adept for capitalism-IQ! CHRISTIAN: Thank you so much, good-friend, for this aid for my need, of love/IQ. CYRANO: Cheer up young bright-man, and I'll compose words-of-romance for IQ. CHRISTIAN: Roxanne will think me sensitive, tender, balanced, and wonderful, no? CYRANO: It's the least I can do bright-man of Haddonfield, to woo Roxanne, ok. CHRISTIAN: I had this gut-feeling she'd like me for my simple lust for her, see? CYRANO: I do see, but keep such visions Selfie, Christian...I'll craft your covers! CHRISTIAN: Facebook-like! ![]() ROXANNE: Christian really does seem so wonderful and sensitive, from letters. CYRANO: So, good beauty-lady of Haddonfield...you noted his honeyed words, IQ. ROXANNE: Oh, for sure, Cyrano-friend...and he named you as a trusted 'guru' now. CYRANO: Guru, gee...maybe I be the good bee he needs for such Haddonfield see! ROXANNE: I almost didn't love him, thought he'd be too blunt or obtuse for art. CYRANO: Nonsense, and I doubt you've perused his love-words in letter for sex. ROXANNE: Doubt is wrong, Cyrano-friend, for we made love, and I thought of it. CYRANO: Damn (Facebook-like?). ![]() Poor Cyrano now felt like he'd almost want to kick himself for winning the affections of lady Roxanne (of Haddonfield)...for someone else. Christian was delighted, and Cyrano knew he did the right-deed for composing love-letters of great flourish and flair and fountains and fiction too, to impress Roxanne and have magnetized thinking her lust for young princely Christian was complemented by the daydreams of love-words of courtship and ritual (or that 'habit' of idealism!). Christian needed only some continuing 'guru' IQ guidance, and poor Cyrano continued to serve in that role/capacity, maybe idling, maybe secretly thinking, maybe even hoping that his transference of love came through his facilitation of wishes for Roxanne, as they related to Christian (of course). ![]() CUSTOMER: Damn, you want my Cowboys-QB card in-trade of your Lions item? CYRANO: You capitalist-fool, my Detroit-city Thanksgiving-TV invocation is art! CUSTOMER: You seem more gruffy than usual, Cyrano (damn). CYRANO: I've much on the mind, about Haddonfield-prince Christian (apt pupil). CUSTOMER: I heard of young princely Christian...and some duel-jitters with cop. CYRANO: You say he's in-debt to some (corrupt?) cop, customer? CUSTOMER: This cop's a real maniac...and he's got eye to shoot/cover any kill. CYRANO: Damn...this shall devastate lady Roxanne (Facebook-like). TO BE CONTINUED... ![]() "Doing well is the result of doing good.
