AMLAN: Pal, we're right on-track as American war-vet buddies seeking vacation!
MARCUS: You know I'm down and sad about getting on that plane with ex-wife?
AMLAN: Oh, yes...Marcus man...your ex-wife is a stewardess on our Euro-flight.
MARCUS: Maybe she'll find me reconcile-word, thought...I am a war-hero, so...
AMLAN: That's truth, Marcus man, but remember, our pal-view is vacation-fun!
MARCUS: Maybe Elaine (my ex-wife) agrees to join us, make a vet-escape team?
AMLAN: That's really up to you, Marcus man; as for me, I'm Facebook-like (ha).

Amlan and Marcus knew their flight from O'Hare to Europe would be great once they were returned-home as decorated war-veterans from a 'skirmish' in Europe concerning the admonished invasion of an Eastern European area in the new millennium (ok!). However, Marcus' ex-wife, Elaine, was on-board as a flight-attendant and motivated the jaded but optimistic ex-soldier to think re-romance; meanwhile Amlan was concerned if he should not end up a proverbial 3rd-wheel by cajoling one of the stewardesses that he was a princely inheritor of fortunes (even though he was not!).

ELAINE: I can't believe on this personal thoughtful vets-vacation, you read comics.
MARCUS: Thief of Thieves, ex-wife...it's darn good.
ELAINE: This is why we parted-ways, soldier (damn).
MARCUS: Look, Earthling life is negotiation, and I want peace and kindle with ya.
ELAINE: Maybe you're no thief-of-hearts...just a jaded thief, Marcus man.
MARCUS: Just talk to my pal Amlan (on-board), Elaine...he's a writer (wannabe).

Marcus and Elaine did get remarried, and they ended up surfing together in the beaches of Europe. Amlan didn't end up being a proverbial 3rd-wheel, since he met/courted/loved a special lady on-board (Esmerelda)...so all ended well, for the humans on this plane and journey and in this weird/humanist 'faerie-tale' of sorts concerning airways-travel, good Pho soup, and emotions mechanized into meaningful value(s)-rich language (for field goals!).

THE END
